Huge thanks to @namespacelabs for the CI sponsorship you provided for axios.rest. Integration was super fast, and CI times for our builds have improved dramatically! Your commitment to OSS is an inspiration!

Mind blown.
I spun up 100 Namespace Devboxes, each running as an independent musician with its own instrument and starting tempo, using Strudel's audio engine, Superdough. All 100 ran in parallel, exchanging beats over the network and adjusting their timing using a rule inspired by the Kuramoto model of coupled oscillators. After 139 seconds, they found a common beat.

How I Met @NathanFlurry
Amp's @thorstenball says long-running AI requests broke an old rule of web infrastructure, and it forced Amp to rebuild its whole platform. "We had the whole thing running, and it's like, wait a second. So every time we deploy, we're going to kill all of the requests that are currently going on after 30 seconds?" "And those requests cost money. You're streaming tokens. If you cancel this, your customer's lost three dollars." "That was not a good Friday night for me. That was the bottom of the bottom." "It's not super agent-friendly. You cannot say to the agent, 'Give me all of the logs for this thing.' And we were already all in on agents at this point." "I tweeted something out: 'Does somebody know of anything like this?' And then I built a prototype over the weekend. I was like, I think we can do this."

Namespace macOS Devboxes + agent-desktop just work. Spin up a real Mac and have agents work in parallel. Full desktop control.
Introducing agent-desktop agent-browser, for your whole computer → Computer Use for any coding agent → macOS, Windows and Linux → Runs in bg while you keep working → Agents use your computer in parallel, each with its own cursor

In some ways, the most boring performance graph we have. In others, the most interesting.

Lots of chatter around price and performance. On the things that matter like performance we want to be boring and predictable.

This is massive! Thank you namespace for supporting open-source projects.
Our open source program was our best-kept secret. Until now. Running an OSS project on GitHub Actions? Apply for free compute, caching, and observability so you can actually keep up with your contributors. Join Ghostty, Omarchy, DuckDB, and the rest.

Amp hasn't hired anybody since it was founded. Six months ago, @thorstenball didn't think it was possible. "Our application is big. And we're still the same amount of people. We haven't hired anybody. We're shipping more than ever." "The way we work is very much self-directed. It's kind of like a jazz band. We have two meetings a week." "People have a lot of freedom. So if somebody notices this is bad, then they go and fix it." "I see junior engineers, people who are 10 years, 15 years younger than me, build incredibly complex features in a distributed system with agents." "We still get compliments on our UX and polish and taste and personality. And that shouldn't be possible."

Within 24 hours, we shipped changes that removed the eMudhra attack vector for all our customers. In particular: - GitHub Actions jobs no longer trust the compromised certificates. - Devboxes now receive a patch when they wake up, so the mitigation is applied automatically. These changes apply across Linux, macOS, and Windows.
