An iconic moment in TV history that changed Doctor Who forever!
What's your favourite First Doctor moment? 👀

🍅Britain is in a cost of living crisis. 50+% of food we buy in supermarkets is now own-label. Tinned tomatoes cost just 43p in supermarkets.
So...how on earth has @MuttiPomodoro – costing £1.60 – become the UK no1 tinned tomato brand? I went to Parma to find out... 🧵1/6

There's a cider cousin made from pears so ugly and bitter no store would ever stock them.
Tim Larsen makes it at Snowdrift Cider in Wenatchee, Washington, using methode champenoise for a sparkling character.
Their bottle-fermented reserve perry took first place at England's Three Counties Cider and Perry Competition, in the country's own perry heartland.

Pears are not native to NZ but the cultivated form Pyrus communis was brought over by English settlers and sadly those for perry making have been lost. However some still survive. Jon Colyer has been hunting them down. This is an excellent read. agroforestry.co.nz/true-euro…

This one's spectacular. In the 1960s, London's Mews were still being used to keep horses. This clip spoils us with a lovely glimpse of the people, pubs, and lifestyle among the cobbled backstreets that have since become expensive housing. They certainly had more personality then than nowadays. @Britains___Pubs

These are my great-grandfather Dr. Sam Aykroyd’s transcripts from the Seances he hosted in the Old Farmhouse. It was the spirit of his work passed down through the generations that inspired my interests. He’s the original Ghostbuster.

4 Extra supported and backed lots of my documentaries, many of which went on to win international awards. There is no station like it. If it really is to close, can we at least have the publicly funded BBC audio archive become publicly available so it doesn't sit unused. – at Horton Heath, England

With the late, great Oliver Reed currently wowing 2026 audiences all over again with his incredible performance in the restored version of Ken Russell’s ‘The Devils’, I wanted to share this amazing clip of him from 1985.
The rather low-res clip comes from ‘In at the Deep End’, a BBC series in which presenter Paul Heiney tries his hands at a profession he had zero experience in. For this episode, Heiney was preparing for an acting role opposite Michael Caine in ‘Water’ and went to Oliver Reed for some pointers on how to play a villain.
Please enjoy what happens next.

Some things never really die. They just find a new generation of fans.
The @SEGA Dreamcast was one of the most ambitious and forward-thinking consoles of its time. It dared to do things differently, embraced online gaming before the world was ready, and created experiences that still resonate with players today.
I was fortunate to be part of that journey, and the Dreamcast remains a very special chapter in my career. Its commercial life may have been short, but its cultural legacy continues to grow, fuelled by a passionate community that refuses to let it go.
A big thank you to Back Market for exploring the unique afterlife of the Dreamcast and revisiting a remarkable moment in gaming history.
Innovation doesn’t always win in the moment. Sometimes, it takes the world a little longer to catch up.
Long live the Dreamcast! 💙
