10/20/26 - 6th-ranked @MSU_Basketball hosted 4th-ranked @UConnMBB in an exciting preseason exhibition at the Breslin Center. The mostly new-look Huskies collectively shot it well (47% FG, 10-25 3P%), B1G Pre-POY @jeremy_fears had 23 PTS, 8 AST, and a HUGE 🍠.
UConn’s offense was too efficient for Sparty, as the Huskies took the potential postseason preview, 78-70. 🏀
College basketball is back, baby. Enjoyed talking pre-game with my man @JesseMcCulloch4, too.
So great to be on the mic with one of my best friends and to be a part of an all-around fantastic crew. #epic

10/14-17 - In Philly for the #CBI2026 Conference. Was a wondeful time getting to learn and see different perspectives from those around the country in the biz. Honored to have placed 3rd overall out of 100+ in the Best Audio Play-by-Play award category. Enjoyed walking around UPenn + Old Town, eating a classic cheesesteak, and some of that world-famous brotherly love!

Michigan State journalism student Elliott Hammon still has the video Tom Izzo sent him before his brain tumor surgery four and a half years ago.
Hammon brought it up during Izzo’s press conference and asked how it impacts him knowing he means so much to people.
Izzo’s full response:
“It’s better than winning.”
“What people think of you, how you can inspire people. I mean, that’s why I’m here. Some people jump around and go to different jobs. I want to be a part of the fabric of this place, and I want to be a guy that people can come to.
“If that tape, or that video, or phone call helped you… (pounds chest) that’s awesome.”

10/9-11 - @MSU_Hockey sweeps @NMUHockey in the season opening series for the Spartans. Wildcats fought hard, but a plethora of new additions making contributions for this MSU team was too much to handle, including a couple of new netminders. Anthony Romani with 3 goals in 2 games + MSU PP converting at over 50% (7-13!). Small sample size but loving the start for the green and white. Fun first weekend at Munn with my guys @gabesousa06 & @JackJAnderson44 + was a pleasure catching up with a friend from up north @austingrahamup. 🏒
The problem with this team is certainly not the coaching. So much passion for the game.
What a contest here in East Lansing.

Michigan State is 1-0! MSU defeated the Northern Michigan Widcats on the ice, 6-2, with a multitude of new Spartans making their presence known.
Take a listen to the immediate postgame thoughts with @jackvohwinkle, @JackJAnderson44, & @gabesousa06! – at East Lansing, MI
10/8/26 - @MSU_wsoccer defeated @GopherSports 4-0 in large part due to the play of @kennedy_bell26. A brace + assist for her. Can’t go without mentioning the play by Kayla Briggs + Emerson Sargeant. Beauty of a pass, header into the net to kick things off. Always a pleasure to call matches at DeMartin. @_btroy & @LyricPSloan 🎙️
Regular season gameday is finally here. The Munn Ice Arena press box awaits. Loved chopping it up with the guys last night about all things college hockey. Give it a listen!
Catch us live tonight on 88.9 at 7 PM at the Spartans battle the Wildcats. 🏒
