EtherFi is launching their own stablecoin, powered by Ethena Whitelabel. @ether_fi has >$300m of stablecoin deposits held across their platform. Reserves, mint and redeem, & compliance for @ether_fi USD will be managed end to end by Ethena. Since launching their category-defining Cash card in 2024, they have scaled to nearly $1 billion in cumulative spend and more than 100,000 active cards. The best stablecoin neobanks will move to own the entire stack and earn from idle deposit balances alongside their broader product suite.

The speed of our current landscape is nuts. Jev was groundbreaking for like 2 weeks. Cloudflare’s Clef outperforms it, adds vision support and 2x context window. Oh yeah, and it’s open source.
Cloudflare's Clef beat Jev in just two weeks How: "frozen" Qwen does one prefill pass, a tiny schema head scores every answer option in parallel, with no text generated at all. That's why it's 4x faster than Jev at 2x the accuracy on some benchmarks. And it's open source! Link to HF: huggingface.co/Cloudflare/cl…

Introducing Griffin, the first model to pass the video Turing test. 48% of people who talked to it live thought it was a real human. Previous systems have had a pass rate <3%. It is #1 on NVIDIA's benchmark for full-duplex AI video. It’s the first Human Interaction Model (HIM).
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The 48% figure and "video Turing test" claim are from Tavus's own study of 54 one-minute calls, not independently verified or using a standard protocol. Griffin-Lite leads NVIDIA's VideoFDB benchmark on their public leaderboard. cellcog.ai/blog/tavus-gri… research.nvidia.com/labs/amri/proj… tech-ish.com/2026/10/02/tav…

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang: “If I were to advise you as a shareholder, I would say this:” “NVIDIA is quite inexpensive right now.” “Quite affordable.” “NVIDIA is a somewhat unusual company.” “NVIDIA is already the largest company in the world, yet it is still one of the fastest-growing companies in the world.” “So it’s unusual for a company of our size to be growing as quickly as we are. And that may make the market a little uncomfortable.” “The market will get used to it. And I believe NVIDIA’s prosperity lies ahead of us.”

After co-inventing ChatGPT, I kept asking myself: why have superhuman chat models not led to AGI? I’ve spent the last 2 years in stealth building a new way to train models (RLCD), and a new type of frontier AI model that we are releasing today: Jev • 20-200x faster • 40-400x cheaper (w/ output tokens free) • Frontier composable intelligence optimized for decisions AFAICT the shortest path to AI-based economic revolution

well well
Just had a call with a founder who told me they're being threatened by Bitget to get their token delisted (a listing they paid a horrendous price for, obviously) unless they start deploying more liquidity themselves and buying back their token to pump the price. On the other hand, an obvious scam token like $LAB that's down -99.8% from its recent pump and dump, which was clearly coordinated with that same exchange and likely made all their users lose money, just remains listed. It doesn't matter to CEXs whether you're a top tier founder trying to build a genuinely great product that people want and that generates value for the industry. All that matters is how much money you can make them in the shortest time period, crime or not. That's the only KPI that matters to them. CEXs are the single most extractive and EV negative force this industry has left, and we need to avoid them at all costs to make this industry shine again.
