Low-energy Trump claims that “there’s a lot of progress” with Russia and Ukraine, adding that a meeting between Putin and Zelensky will be set up “very soon.” Same old BS from Trump for the past two years, while Russia continues to bomb Ukraine and kill civilians every single day.

Ukrainian forces struck a Tor air-defence system and a radar in Russia’s Kursk Oblast, an electronic warfare station in Bryansk Oblast, and a military supply depot in occupied Donetsk Oblast on October 27 and overnight into October 28, according to Ukraine’s General Staff.
Blind spots in russian air defence: in one day, the Defence Forces hit a Tor system, a radar and an electronic warfare station On 27 October and during the night of 28 October, units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine hit three elements of the enemy’s air defence (AD) on the territory of russia at once, as well as an occupiers’ depot in the temporarily occupied part of Donetsk Oblast. What was hit: 🎯 A russian army Tor-M2 surface-to-air missile (SAM) system, Rzhava area, Kursk Oblast, russia 🎯 A radar station, Maloye Gorodkovo area, Kursk Oblast, russia 🎯 An electronic warfare (EW) station, Semyachki area, Bryansk Oblast, russia 🎯 An occupiers’ materiel and supply depot, Valerianivka area, Donetsk Oblast Why it matters: every SAM system, radar or EW station hit creates a temporary gap in the enemy’s AD system. The more such gaps there are, the greater the Defence Forces’ ability to employ unmanned aerial systems (UAS) at all levels. Operations against the enemy’s key military targets will continue until russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine ends completely. To be continued 💥 Glory to Ukraine! 🇺🇦

Jesse Adams was murdered by the Russian terrorists with an FPV drone on Oct 25 while evacuating animals near the frontline in Kramatorsk, Ukraine. He first came from Canada in April 2022 to save animals. Musk wants you to have sympathy for his killers. What a corrupt world.

🚨 Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten delivers a blunt message to Putin: “Putin has to understand that he is losing this war.” Russia is suffering devastating battlefield losses while its economy sinks deeper into trouble. Putin promised to conquer Ukraine in days. Years later, he’s sacrificing Russian lives and Russia’s economic future for a war he still cannot win.

Yesterday, the "Novomoskovsk Azot" plant in Tula Region was struck, and it continues to burn today. It is one of Russia's largest chemical plants. According to Ukrainian intelligence and media reports, the facility supplied nitric acid to the Sverdlov plant in Dzerzhinsk, which produces explosives (including RDX and HMX) for Russian artillery and ammunition.

⚡️️ 80% of Ukrainians back strikes on Russian refineries even if US cuts support, poll shows. Some 80% of respondents back the continued strikes, even if Washington restricts intelligence sharing or Starlink operations. Only 11% said Ukraine should pause the attacks, despite Russia's ongoing attacks on the Ukrainian energy grid, according to the survey. kyivindependent.com/80-of-uk…

Ukrainian journalist @RomanShrike writes: "I read the headline: “What to expect from the new talks between Ukraine and Russia?” My answer: expect nothing. As long as Putin is swimming in cash pouring into Russia thanks to insane oil prices, there’s nothing to expect. Because with that money, he can churn out drones and missiles, recruit more soldiers, and buy more politicians and media agents. And he can do more than just cling to hopes of a breakthrough on the front lines or an uprising in Kyiv (neither of which will happen). He can also bide his time, waiting for even more of his “clients” to come to power in influential countries. And as long as Putin keeps entertaining these fucking delusions, he won’t agree to any compromises. And we, for our part, will never accept his ultimatums." Just couldn't agree more.

1/ Vladimir Putin seems to have decided that protecting his palace at Valdai is more important than protecting Russia's vulnerable factories and oil refineries. A few bold Russian warbloggers are questioning why scarce air defence assets are being diverted for Putin's benefit. ⬇️

According to Le Monde, citing sources, U.S. special envoy Witkoff held a tense meeting in Florida on October 9 with Budanov, head of Ukraine’s Presidential Office. Sources claimed that Witkoff spoke to Budanov “like a child,” trying to “teach” him how to make money. Witkoff proposed a postwar “regional prosperity plan” that included fully restoring Russian oil and gas transit to Europe through Ukrainian territory. Witkoff argued that Ukraine would earn transit revenues while Europe would benefit from lower energy costs. Budanov reportedly replied that Ukraine’s model is “not Belarus, but Poland,” then stepped out to call President Zelenskyy, who advised him not to show any reaction. When the talks resumed, the Ukrainian side was shown a document outlining a U.S.-Russia diesel deal. An irritated Witkoff reportedly said: “Accept this diesel deal and stop striking Russian oil refineries — you are putting the world at risk!” Ukrainian participants were described as shocked, viewing the plan as creating dependency on Moscow and noting that the United States appeared to have secured nothing in return from Putin. A source close to the delegation told Le Monde: “I have never seen the Ukrainians so stunned and alarmed after a meeting.” Analysts contrasted the episode with the February 28, 2025 Oval Office incident, saying this one involves concrete policy decisions that could affect Ukraine’s ability to defend itself ahead of a potentially harsh winter. lemonde.fr/international/art…
