Sadly (but unsurprisingly) the Supreme Court of Maryland has denied this petition.
We have already told Duvall's counsel that if they decide to seek Supreme Court certiorari, we will support the petition with an amicus brief as we have done in the Gardner and Johnson cases. And we'll keep doing so until SCOTUS finally grants a reciprocity case, no matter how long it takes.

DEVELOPING: Lindsay Clancy returns to court at 9 a.m. Eastern today as her defense fights to stop prosecutors from putting her on trial again after a single holdout juror blocked a verdict.
Her attorneys are pushing a double jeopardy argument to dismiss the charges outright, while prosecutors are expected to reveal more about their plans following the mistrial.
But another major fight has suddenly hit a snag. The defense wants the lone holdout juror investigated, but that motion could be delayed after his attorney raised objections over access to impounded court materials.
Clancy’s first trial ended with the jury split 11-1, with 11 jurors prepared to find her not criminally responsible and the holdout supporting a conviction.
What happens inside the courtroom today could shape whether this case heads toward another trial.

First off, we’re not ‘banning’ any program. The federal government doesn’t set curriculum or programs.
Here’s the truth: we are holding colleges accountable for leaving students worse off than if they never enrolled. Too many graduates report delaying major life milestones like buying a home or starting a family. Why? Because low return-on-investment programs saddled them with unmanageable debt that was never going to translate into a real-world job.
Federal student loans are not a welfare program for failing college programs. American students deserve education and training pathways that prepare them for the workforce – and transparency about programs that will never pay off.
