After 7 years, 4 months and 13 days, my partner Millie has worked her last shift and officially retires due to ongoing medical issues.
Over the years she has worked with the Police, Customs and most notably the Isle of Man Prison Service, contributing to some significant finds and proving time and again what an incredible working dog she is. She has been a fantastic asset, but more importantly, she has been a loyal partner and an absolute pleasure to work alongside.
I will certainly miss working with my little fluffy diva every day, but I am grateful for all the memories we've shared and proud of everything she has achieved. Now it's time for her to enjoy a long, happy and well-deserved retirement at home with my family.
Well done, Millie. Thank you for everything
Who would do this to someoneâs property in the first place?
Were they living among this detritus during their stay?
Can you imagine what their own homes are like if they think this is ok?

Trumpâs Florida rally is off to a great start:
TRUMP: I did not marry my sister. I had two lovely -- I have one left. Elizabeth. She's great. But I have not -- I never proposed to them. Theyâre beautiful, but I was never -- I was never particularly attracted to either of them. It's not my deal.

Trump suspended sweeping sanctions against Russia on October 16. Two weeks later, he declared: âStupid people wanted me to put sanctions on Russia.â
This is Putinâs greatest achievement. He has persuaded an American president to do things that would once have been unthinkable for any occupant of the White House.
And that is precisely Putinâs tactic. He doesnât merely want concessions. He wants Trump to make them publicly, to defend them enthusiastically, and to ridicule Americans.
Every such performance sends a message to the world: look what I can make the President of the United States do.
Putin is demonstrating dominance.
And with every performance, Putin humiliates not just Trump, but the entire United States.
The Republican Party has become the Russia First Party.
He was killed in the RAF because they wouldnât demob them even though the war was over and he was hitchhiking home because they told them to do that. I have no dad but I have a plaque saying he gave his life for King and Country.
Iâm sure you mean to be kind.
Replying to @EricIdle
your father was killed in a car accident whilst hitch hiking his way home on leave for Christmas he wasn't killed by the war He was killed during the war which is not quite the same thing is it

In 1952, an English teacher named Cecil Dormand secretly paid for a dirt-poor 11-year-old to take a drama course.
He never told him and the boy didnât find out until decades later.
By then, he was a knight, that little boyâs name was Patrick Stewart.
He was born into a poor family in Mirfield, a small mill town in Yorkshire and his father came home from World War II a violent man, and he was violent toward Patrickâs mother.
Young Patrick learned exactly when to step between his fatherâs fist and his mother.
An English teacher put a copy of Shakespeare in his hand and told him to get up and perform.
He never stopped and left school at 15.
By 19 he was completely bald... most agencies told him he'd never make it because of that.
In 1987, the LA Times called him an âunknown British Shakespearean actorâ when he was cast as Captain Picard.
Then he became one of the most famous faces on Earth.
Youâve probably heard that part.
Hereâs the part you havenât:
He spent decades as a patron of Refuge, sheltering women and children from domestic violence.
But he never stopped trying to understand his father.
He dug up a 1940 newspaper clipping that said his dad had come home with severe shell shock.
He went to France and walked the ground where his fatherâs unit was pinned down under bombing for hours.
He learned his father had PTSD, and nobody ever helped him.
So Patrick became an ambassador for Combat Stress, a charity that helps veterans.
In 2013, a young woman at a Texas convention told him she was a survivor of domestic violence.
He asked, âMy dear, are you okay?â
Then he hopped off the stage, held her, and told her: âYou never have to go through that again, youâre safe now.â
At Dragon Con, a Make-A-Wish girl dressed as Spock came to meet him.
2,000 people were waiting for him to speak... he sat down and talked with her for 15 minutes, making all of them wait.
He told her that since they were friends now, whenever she saw him on screen she could wave and say, âHello Patrick.â
After 9/11, he felt helpless, so he brought his one-man A Christmas Carol back to Broadway for a full week of charity shows.
He played every character himself and donated every cent.
In 2019 he did it again, and every dollar went to feeding hungry New Yorkers.
In 2017, he fostered a pit bull named Ginger, who had been rescued from a dogfighting ring.
She was his first dog in more than 50 years.
He couldnât bring her home to England, so he found her a family.
Then he kept fostering more.
When he said he was done with Star Trek so many people told him the show had gotten them through the hardest times of their lives.
So he wanted to see if Picard could do it one more time.
Rest in Peace, Sir Patrick đ

Horrified by the killing in Haiti of two @NRC_Norway aid workers. My condolences to their families and friends.
The perpetrators must be brought to justice.
Such widespread violence against the population must end.
We are utterly heartbroken by learning of the brutal killing of two wonderful NRC colleagues yesterday in PortâauâPrince, Haiti.
Our two colleagues, Bonaparte Février and Richard Alexandre, were cherished friends and colleagues within our NRC family in Haiti and across the world.
They worked tirelessly as key members of our heroic Haiti team to prevent and alleviate the growing suffering of their fellow Haitians. We mourn with their families and condemn the senseless violence that took the lives of two young men who only wished to provide aid and protection to vulnerable communities that suffer so much from the endemic violence and displacement that has engulfed so many in Haiti.
We call on all parties concerned, including Haitian authorities as well as the international community, to do everything in their power to protect civilians, uphold international law, and prevent further violence.
Neither the Haitian society nor the outside world can tolerate that civilians, including aid workers, are killed with impunity.
We owe it to Bonaparte and Richard to continue their humanitarian mission in Haiti and to bear witness to the atrocities there.
They will always be remembered and we will always be grateful for their vital contribution to our humanitarian work in Haiti and elsewhere.

Just want to tell you about an amazing colleague I met last week. Victoria joined us 3 years ago when she was still in prison, via our Max Spielmann training academy inside HMP Downview. She started to go out on day release, and has now worked her way up to shop manager, and now has become a member of the area team!

After yesterdayâs post about the Russell Brand trial, my inbox was flooded with people claiming this is all just a coordinated media conspiracy.
Well, I hope those same people actually read what came out of Southwark Crown Court today, because Brand took the witness stand and completely shredded his own defense.
Under cross-examination, he openly admitted to "inconsistencies" in his evidence, awkwardly asking the prosecution for forgiveness.
Even more damning, his own barrister asked him if a single friend or colleague from twenty-five years in showbusiness was willing to stand up in that courtroom and speak for his character.
His answer was no. Not a single person would touch him with a barge pole. Think about what that actually means. Decades surrounded by entourages, agents, and industry friends, and not one human being is willing to take an oath on his behalf.
Then look at how he described women to the jury today.
He admitted saving a complainantâs name in his phone labeled with a degrading slur and a sexual act. When asked if a woman expressed reluctance to an encounter, he casually dismissed her hesitation as "coquettishness and coyness."
This is not a misunderstood free-thinker being silenced for his politics. This is an arrogant narcissist who used celebrity status to treat women like disposable commodities, and is now watching his carefully rehearsed narrative crumble under basic legal scrutiny.
Stop falling for the staged internet guru act. The admissions coming out of his own mouth in that courtroom tell you everything you need to know.
