This could be a Saturday Night Live skit. Sen. Eric Schmitt ‘s staffer who prepped this question should be relieved of duty. They know nothing about sports and embarrassed a US Senator on record. They confused the Atlanta “Hawks” with the Iowa “Hawkeyes.”
Former special counsel Jack Smith was pressed by Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-MO) on Tuesday during his testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee about whether he attended a NBA game between the Atlanta Hawks and Golden State Warriors in Atlanta in early February 2024.
Smith said he “definitely did not go" to an Atlanta Hawks game. "I think you've already perjured yourself," Schitt said during the exchange, calling Smith a "total dirtbag."
Smith said he instead attended a Maryland-Iowa women’s basketball game to see Iowa star Caitlin Clark play. Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) suggested Schmitt had confused the Iowa Hawkeyes with the Atlanta Hawks and said Smith deserved an apology.

Armed settlers and soldiers continue their daily attacks on Palestinian villagers, while their fugitive PM thunders at the UN that there is ''no choice''.
There is a choice: arms and trade embargoes NOW.
Every day of delay leaves less Palestine standing.

Sensitivity is not a weakness to be fixed but a God-given strength to be embraced. 🤲
Research shows that 15–20 percent of people have an innate sensitivity, making them highly discerning, deeply feeling, and uniquely attuned to the world.
In 'The Highly Sensitive Christian,' Jason Cusick shares pastoral insight and his personal journey as an HSP to help you celebrate your giftedness, navigate challenges, and develop lasting spiritual resilience.

Any person who had a modicum of decency would apologize, immediately, and then impose some basic accountability for some remarkably negligent staff work. He was trying to set up a perjury trap with fake information. Pitiful.

A historic shift is underway, with far greater willingness to hold Israel accountable. The shift is still insufficient, though, for even now a majority of senators won't even agree to ask the State Department for information about nine Americans killed in Israel & the West Bank.

Since October 2023, as part of the genocide in the Gaza Strip, Israel has killed more than 74,000 people, forcibly displaced some 1.9 million Palestinians, and destroyed and erased entire cities off the face of the earth.
Since the beginning of September, Israel has killed 106 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, including at least 17 children and teenagers.
Since the “ceasefire” was declared in October 2025, Israel has killed around 1,421 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, including at least 300 children and teenagers.
Israel continues to kill, restrict the entry of humanitarian aid and deny access to water and food as a method of warfare, while blocking every attempt to repair the catastrophic damage and restore vital systems.
The genocide continues.

Remember the alarm raised over Israel clearing Gaza’s rubble without caring to recover bodies for burial or preserve evidence (as requested by ICJ)? @CBC investigation confirms that warning mattered.

Below an informative interview with @weizman_eyal.
Why is Israel transporting trucks of rubble, and presumably human remains, out of Gaza every day?
"The occupied Gaza Strip is currently undergoing the most serious terraforming, that is to say, transformation of the landscape, transformation of the topography, erasure of building and the removal of evidence," says @Weizman_Eyal.

The US says our # 1 priority abroad is protecting Americans. But in the West Bank, 9 Americans have been killed by Israeli settlers or security forces with no justice. Meanwhile they attack Palestinians daily with total impunity.
Today, I'll force a vote to demand accountability.

Rabbi Kohn: Jews Lived in Coexistence Before Zionism Brought Conflict
“Jews in the Holy Land lived in peace with their Muslim neighbours. They were our friends and colleagues. They cared for our children, and we for theirs.”
The emergence of Zionism led to enmity in a place where there had been peace and camaraderie.
Spread it widely, friends.

It appears that the Trump Administration just hired him to monitor elections.
I want to know why.

Majority of Israelis polled support disqualification of all Palestinian parties from running in Israeli election.
Another reminder that it’s not just Netanyahu, or Ben Gvir or Smotrich. It’s a large chunk of Israeli body politic.

I am opposing Section 219, that would integrate our military with Israel’s.
The United States does not have this arrangement with any other country in the world.
We need to stand up for American sovereignty and strip this provision from the final NDAA.

It's strange how Christians apply Jesus's teachings to every corner of our personal lives, then act as if a preacher Rome executed as an insurrectionist was politically neutral or ambiguous.

This endless destruction is why Netanyahu does not allow journalists into Gaza. If he actually believed that Israeli had shown great restraint and that public perceptions were mistaken, we'd all be invited in with cameras. But Bibi doesn't want the devastation documented or the survivors interviewed.
‘NAZA’ co-director Yuval Abraham calls out the U.S. government for ‘funding’ Israel’s destruction of Gaza at the New York Film Festival:
“It’s important for us to see this film at this moment, as you were saying, because these older officials are talking about what is being done with taxpayer money from people sitting here... This is what your country is supporting and funding… Part of the goal is to make denial of what’s going on in Gaza harder.”
