In Loving Memory of Sir Patrick Stewart ❤️🐾🖖
July 13, 1940 to October 28, 2026
Some actors entertain us. Others leave an impression that lasts a lifetime. Sir Patrick Stewart was one of those extraordinary individuals whose talent, dignity, and compassion reached far beyond the stage and screen.
From the commanding bridge of the USS Enterprise as Captain Jean-Luc Picard to his unforgettable portrayal of Professor Charles Xavier in X-Men, Patrick Stewart brought to life characters who represented wisdom, courage, compassion, and the belief that humanity could always strive to be better.
But long before Hollywood made him a household name, he was a young boy growing up in Yorkshire, England, who discovered a passion for Shakespeare. That passion would carry him to the Royal Shakespeare Company, Broadway, Hollywood, and eventually a knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II in 2010.
His extraordinary career spanned more than six decades, earning him worldwide admiration and a place among the most respected actors of his generation. His unmistakable voice, commanding presence, and remarkable ability to bring humanity to every role made him truly unforgettable.
Yet behind the awards, the fame, and those legendary performances was something equally remarkable. A man with an enormous heart for those who couldn't always defend themselves.
Sir Patrick was a passionate advocate for animal rescue, particularly pit bulls. Alongside his wife, Sunny Ozell, he opened his home to foster dogs, including a beautiful pit bull named Ginger. He used his fame to challenge the unfair stereotypes surrounding these often misunderstood dogs and to speak out against animal cruelty and dogfighting.
His dedication earned him the ASPCA's Pit Bull Advocate & Protector Award in 2021. His love for the breed even found its way into Star Trek: Picard, where Captain Picard had a pit bull companion named Number One.
He understood something that every animal deserves to have recognized. Their worth should never be determined by their breed, their appearance, or the misconceptions of others, but by the love, loyalty, and companionship they have to offer.
His compassion extended far beyond animal rescue.
Having witnessed domestic violence during his childhood, Sir Patrick spoke openly about those painful experiences and became an advocate for women and families affected by abuse. Rather than allowing those memories to remain hidden, he used his voice to raise awareness, encourage compassion, and stand beside those who needed someone to speak for them.
He understood that true strength wasn't measured by fame, fortune, or power. It was measured by the willingness to stand up for others.
On October 28, 2026, Sir Patrick Stewart passed away at the age of 86, leaving behind a remarkable legacy that reaches far beyond Hollywood.
The world has lost a legendary actor. Star Trek has lost its beloved captain. The theater has lost one of its finest performers. And the animal rescue community has lost a compassionate friend and advocate.
But extraordinary people leave behind more than memories.
They leave behind inspiration, kindness, and reminders that one person can make a difference in the lives of others, whether those lives walk on two legs or four.
Sir Patrick Stewart gave generations of fans unforgettable characters who taught us about honor, courage, friendship, leadership, and humanity. And through his own actions, he showed the world that those qualities weren't simply words written into a script.
They were values worth living by.
His performances will continue to inspire generations. His advocacy will continue to remind us that compassion knows no boundaries. And his kindness toward animals, especially those so often misunderstood, will remain a beautiful part of his enduring legacy.
Rest peacefully, Sir Patrick Stewart. Thank you for the decades of extraordinary performances, the wisdom, the laughter, the compassion, and especially for using your voice to protect those who had no voice of their own.
The stars will always remind us of the captain who taught us to explore beyond the limits of what we knew, to lead with wisdom, and to never lose sight of our humanity.
Your final mission is complete, Captain. The bridge may be quiet, but your legacy will forever shine among the stars. ❤️🐾🖖

What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work.
My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.

This is easily one of the greatest and most underrated live performances of all time.
It just keeps getting better as it goes! 🔥
The lyrics have extra special meaning when you consider that Jeff is blind.

CNN’s Dana Bash insists the focus on CNN isn’t “just about the three of us,” but “the free press writ large.” Bash and Brian Stelter then thank Fox News, which is hilarious since Stelter tried to get them banned from the White House and cable providers in 2021
We all know CNN wouldn’t give one hoot if Newsmax, OANN, RAV were all booted from the White House. Sure, they might “say” they support them, but not to this degree. They argue Trump being in power means “democratic backsliding.” Yes, voters, democracy only works when their team is in charge....
Bash: “[I]t also is important to underscore the solidarity that the other networks and even beyond the television networks that other news organizations have shown with CNN, and Politico, and MS NOW because everybody understands the stakes that you just described. It’s not just about the three of us. It’s about the free press writ large, and what we don’t know, because, as I mentioned, the Chinese President is in the White House, and the CCP state-run TV is also there. We don’t know how the CNN process is going to work with the pool. Look, in fairness to all of our colleagues and competitors who have been so wonderful, this is — they’re kind of figuring out as they go along, and so we’ll see now that CNN and MS have been let back in, how they work that out, especially given we don’t know whether or not the White House is going to be okay with CNN getting back in the pool.”
Stelter: “Yeah. My impression is we will probably hear new guidance from that TV pool. It happens to be chair right now by Fox News.”
Bash: “Right.”
Stelter: “Fox News has been a real ally of the — CNN and the other major networks this week. And frankly, Dana, I think that’s partly because Fox, yeah, it’s thinking about the past and Obama, but it’s also thinking about what happens when a Democrat is back in the Oval Office, and whether some Democrat would pull a stunt like this. You know, when it comes to today, however, I think we will hear more about the TV pool shortly, and then again more broadly, what are we going through in America? We’re going through a situation where we’re seeing examples of democratic backsliding. Yes, this is a democracy, but there are times it’s been a healthier democracy. Backsliding is real, and scholars who study autocratic behavior say they see it happening every day, coming out of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. So right now, the last week or so, we’ve seen it again very clearly. The American press is in a fight to protect its fundamental rights.”

If I'm being hunted by a drone piloted by AI, there's a human behind that. There are evil, greedy humans behind all this. I'm not afraid of robots destroying humanity. I'm afraid of billionaires.
People like this could literally be getting hunted by a drone piloted by Fable 7.2 and they’d still call it a marketing stunt.
They’ve buried themselves in a perfect epistemic tomb—no new information can reach them. Everything can be dismissed as hype.
Anyone who has built themselves an ideology which can ignore all new information—because the information can be labeled fake (in this case, “marketing” etc)—is not someone you should trust, emulate, or respect. It is a deeply self-serving, self-soothing, self-satisfied way of approaching the world. It is entirely about satisfying their own egos and comfort. It is deeply cowardly. It is embarrassing.
This is not the kind of person or the kind of position you should take seriously or be afraid to offend.
