On a day like this, I deeply reflect and listen to this piece by @FrankWALUSIMBI Walusimbi. Listen to this a couple of times, and it will communicate too. If it does, then share it widely.
I dare say, we are our own worst enemies! The stealing is sadly everywhere, we no longer have shame.
Game-Stores R.I.P:
One day I went looking for a microwave, and as I was walking through, checking, a one Joel came and asked why type I want and how much I can offer. When I told him, he said , I can get u that exact through “back door channels”. Gosh!!
What’s back door?”
It meant him manipulating the system to have that product at half or no price.
I realized this was the trend of most of the attendants in the mega store. Sometimes they used even to direct u to another shop outside game where they would be given commission.
Folks, I tell u this truth:
Game stores was crushed by us Ugandans. Let’s not blame Museveni for everything. It’s our “stealing” mentality that pushes such big companies out of Uganda in addition to heavy taxes.
Despicable!!
Most unemployed youths are thieves and luck the important virtue of “honesty”.
Defend them all u want but I have said it.
How can u steal from a company that pays u salary??
Where will u work when it collapses??
Now I tell u:
Employers are looking for “honest workers”.
Those they can trust with money.
They’re looking for youths who will take work seriously.
Those who will not steal company products.
Those who will be sent to do a task and do it well without excuses.
Stop being entitled yet jobless at the same time. If u want a job in someone’s company tone down ur attitude.

We just spent hours in a Nairobi traffic jam, simply because impatient and selfish drivers were overlapping and choking the lanes. There's an unpopular theory on this. The day you come to an African country, and find the motorists have discipline and can self-organise not to jam up the already narrow streets, that country will be ready for economic take-off. Because that structured and clever system-flow mindset necessary for creating wealth will have taken root. The craziness that comes from this overlapping and clambering over pavements, tells you the country isn't ready yet. It's not ripe. It will remain economically backward

Organizations should invest in skilling employees in effective communication to enable them tell compelling stories about their workplaces. PR should never be a desk, it’s a culture that must be infectious both internally and externally.

Reading money articles is exciting and challenging at the sametime. Eachtime I read one, I am left wandering about if I am doing enough to secure my finances.

The women in this region have been marginalized in the development circles leading to high levels of unemployment and illiteracy. Begging has been another resilience mechanism. All interventions to support this region must be deliberate and focused at addressing the root causes.
