Here's the real story of this Budget, the can being kicked down the road. This Labour government is apparently planning spending cuts on most areas of public service spending of 2.6% per year between 2028-29 and 2031-32. Pull the other one. It's got bells on.

"The circus goes on & on and it will never stop, because this is who Reform politicians are "To those who say unite the right, we are not uniting with that "People deserve better than that and we are going to give them better than that "Character, conduct, & standards matter"
'Do you think it's racist' Reform UK leader Nigel Farage was questioned on #BBCBreakfast after his former senior aide Raheem Kassam called Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch as a 'Nigerian scammer' bbc.co.uk/news/topics/cp07jz…

Conservatives list Labour-Green administrations in local government. Will the party now take action? They say they will....
Burnham says no deals with the Greens - has he forgotten about local government ⁉️ Sheffield: Two-party joint administration - Labour and Green Groups Warwick: Green–Labour coalition; both parties hold cabinet positions Lewes: Green–Labour Co-operative Alliance; current council records confirm both group leaders hold cabinet responsibilities Havant: Labour-led coalition with Greens and Liberal Democrats West Oxfordshire: Liberal Democrat-Labour-Green alliance, renewed in May 2026 North Somerset: Partnership of Liberal Democrats, Labour, Greens and independent groups Rother: Independent–Labour–Liberal Democrat–Green alliance Runnymede: Joint administration containing Labour, Greens, Liberal Democrats and residents/independents West Suffolk: Labour, Liberal Democrats and Greens within the Progressive Alliance, governing in partnership with independents Labour just don't get it.

Ukraine’s freedom is not President Trump’s to bargain away. He is wrong to ease sanctions on Russian diesel, wrong to blame President Zelensky for prolonging Putin’s war, and wrong to undermine a nation fighting for its right to exist. Russia is the aggressor. Always has been. Reward Russia, and we should expect to see more aggression, including from other countries. We can also kiss goodbye to any just and lasting peace. This is why Conservatives have stood with Ukraine against Putin. Ukraine’s future belongs to Ukrainians. They alone have the right to choose their president, and we stand with President Zelensky because he fights not for himself, but for the survival of his country and his people.

It is sickening that the USA is now lifting sanctions on Russian fuel, and transparently ridiculous to blame Ukraine for the spike in prices that obviously began with the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Putin is murdering innocent Ukrainian civilians every day. The Ukrainians are fighting for their lives. And yet the White House is apparently determined to force American drivers to bankroll Putin’s slaughter. It won’t work and I doubt it will make much difference to the price of fuel. If we want Russian oil and gas back on the world market then let’s end this war - with a free, sovereign and independent Ukraine.

The strongest section of Kemi Badenoch's speech so far: "To those who say “unite the right”... we are not uniting with THAT. I don’t want to live in a country run by people who threaten journalists, call veterans traitors and debate whether my mixed-race children are English. "I don’t want to explain to my son, when we’re watching our brilliant England team play football, that some people don’t think our black players are English. "I remember back in the day when Ian Wright and John Barnes were playing - nobody was questioning whether they were English. We certainly didn’t have sitting MPs questioning whether they were English. "We must not let these people take us backwards. That is not the country we are. I don’t know whether you’ve noticed, but I am black. I am British. I’m proud of my country, I’m proud of our history."

Youth unemployment has risen sharply over the last few years, and the drivers are not hard to find: - AI reshaping entry-level roles - higher taxes on employing people - growing thicket of employment regulation If we are serious about social justice, this is the problem to fix
