China is using these unlawful detentions to silence voices and amplify their own oppressive agenda.
At the UN Human Rights Council’s 63rd session, ICT Europe Policy Director Vincent Metten – on behalf of the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights – called for immediate action on China’s arbitrary detention of Tibet advocates.

In the case of Zhang Yadi, the 23-year-old #Tibet advocate was detained for her support of the Tibetan people while visiting China in 2025.
