🚨 Dan Osborn just got caught talking about Nebraska Trump voters like they are cartoon extras. On tape, he called them “Billy Bob” in Red Cloud, waving a flag next to the Trump store. He said all they know is that they are on the winning team. Then he said their lives probably suck. CNN asked if that was him. He said it sure sounded like him. Now he wants a do-over. Suddenly he has toured 55 counties and “respects” Trump voters. No. You mocked them first. Then you remembered you need their votes.

In Nebraska I was told a number. I did not believe it. I have since checked it, and I still do not believe it. The football stadium in Lincoln has sold every seat, for every home game, since November 3, 1962. Every game. Not the good years. Every game. Through seasons the state would rather not discuss. Through blizzards. Through years when leaving early would have been reasonable, and nobody left. I asked a man named Gary how two million people keep a promise for that long. He said, "You buy the ticket." I asked what if the team is bad. "You buy the ticket." I asked what if it is snowing. He looked at me with real patience. "You buy the ticket." Here is the part that undid me. The first game of the streak, in 1962, they lost. Thirty-six thousand people came out the week after the Cuban Missile Crisis ended, watched their team lose to Missouri, and came back for the next one anyway. And the next. It has not stopped. The streak began with a loss. Nobody in Nebraska finds this ironic. They find it obvious. This summer there was worry. Ticket sales were slow. People wrote articles asking whether it would finally end. I read them in a diner over a slice of pie I did not finish, and I confess I was afraid for a state I do not live in. Then this week they announced the opener is sold out. Four hundred and eleven in a row. In my land, a lord who kept his word for sixty years was written into the temple records. Nebraska has kept its word since the Cuban Missile Crisis. There is no temple. There are eighty-five thousand people who bought the ticket. Gary is going Saturday. It is not snowing. He would go if it were. A promise is easy in a winning season. Nebraska has kept one through every other kind.

🚨NEW Nebraska Democrat Dan Osborn goes on an UNHINGED rant admitting he's a fraud too afraid to tell voters what he actually thinks: "I have people recording me, I can't say I want to abolish ICE...I'll be fucked...Fuck no Jane, that's not how I win."

Being that VS is so focused on fighting online disinformation online, let's review the "record 250 days". During President Obama's term, in 2011-12 USS Bataan (LHD 5) and her ARG was deployed 322 days during the Libyan debacle. Then in 2014, she was deployed for 266 days. Also during Obama's Presidency, USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) deployed for about 316 days between 2012 and 2013, and USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75): Deployed for 271 days between 2013 and 2014. Our Navy's standard deployment is ~180 days, and much longer if needed. As for suicide, not unusual for a carrier's deployment, and not all that different from the general population. I won't do your work for you, but use AI to tell you the expected number of suicides you would expect in a population of 5,000 men between 18 and 40 with an average age of 24 over a six month period. Executive Summary: 1. That also happens to be the number of suicides we had on my last carrier deployment. The guy got a "Dear John" letter and responded by running off the back of the ship aft of AIMD while we were going 30+ knots at night. If you want to attack the Trump administration and Hegseth, find something more grounded in fact than this argle-bargle. Better yet, take that energy and put it towards something productive: ask for Congress to fund a larger Navy.
The USS Abraham Lincoln has now been at sea for a record 250 days due to the war with Iran. According to Navy Times and Stars and Stripes, the prolonged deployment is taking a serious toll on the crew’s mental health, with some sailors reportedly attempting to jump overboard.

The story of DiJonai Carrington is every parent’s worst nightmare. 👇 In high school she was a normal, grounded kid. A devoted Christian. Her father was a pastor. No blonde wig. No heavy makeup. No radical politics. Then in 2016 she went to Stanford. Four years later she walked out a completely different person. She majored in African Studies and absorbed the full “white privilege” curriculum. She changed her entire look — blonde hair, new style, new attitude. She became openly resentful of “the patriarchy.” She realized she could blame white people for all her problems. She started a romantic relationship with another female player. Her parents sent a smart, faith-filled, down-to-earth daughter to college… and got back a woke, feminist lesbian activist. This is what happens when you hand your child over to woke universities in America. They are turning our children into monsters.

Seventy-two. That is how many separate wounds John Cruickshank had in him, two of them through his lungs, while he lined up a burning flying boat for a second run at a U-boat that had just shot his aircraft to pieces. Most men have one of those wounds and they are finished. He had seventy-two and he pressed the attack. He was 24, a former bank clerk from Aberdeen, flying a Catalina flying boat out of the Shetland Islands with Coastal Command. The job was the long, freezing, mind-numbing patrol, fourteen hours over the grey Atlantic hunting the U-boats that were strangling Britain. On the 17th of July 1944, far out over empty water, they caught one on the surface, U-361, and Cruickshank took the big slow flying boat down to attack. The first run failed. The depth charges would not release. Any sane man makes a note and turns for home. Cruickshank swung the aircraft around and came back for a second pass, low and straight, and this time the submarine's gunners were waiting. Flak ripped through the Catalina. It killed the navigator, wounded half the crew, and tore into Cruickshank again and again, those seventy-two wounds, two punching into his lungs, ten into his legs. And he flew the attack home anyway. Bleeding everywhere, in agony, with the fuselage holed and on fire, he held the aircraft dead level, aimed, and released the depth charges himself. They straddled the U-boat perfectly. It broke apart and sank beneath him. Then came the part that should have killed him. He collapsed from blood loss, and the wounded co-pilot, who had never landed a Catalina, took the controls for the long flight back. Cruickshank refused the morphine that would have knocked him out, because he knew the man flying needed him. Drifting in and out, he had himself carried back up to the cockpit again and again through the night to help nurse the shot-up aircraft down, and at dawn they got it onto the water safely. He had lost so much blood the doctors said he had no business being alive. He lived. He took the Victoria Cross from the King, went quietly back to banking after the war, and rarely spoke of it. And he kept on living, and living, and living. John Cruickshank died in 2025 at the age of 105, the last man on earth wearing a Victoria Cross earned in the Second World War. Seventy-two wounds over the Atlantic, and he outlasted every other hero of that war by decades.

To date, I have never read another Medal Of Honor citation like this. What a human. Read this and tell me if you ever have? Donald Gilbert Cook, serving with the Naval Advisor Group, U.S. Military Assistance Command, USMC, was interned as a Prisoner of War by the Viet Cong in the Republic of Vietnam during the period from 31 December 1964 to 8 December 1967. Despite the fact that by so doing he would bring about harsher treatment for himself, Colonel (then Captain) Cook established himself as the senior prisoner, even though in actuality he was not. Repeatedly assuming more than his share of the manual labor in order that the other Prisoners of War could improve the state of their health, Col. Cook willingly and unselfishly put the interests of his comrades before that of his own well-being and, eventually, his life. Giving more needy men his medicine and drug allowance while constantly nursing them, he risked infection from contagious diseases while in a rapidly deteriorating state of health. This unselfish and exemplary conduct, coupled with his refusal to stray even the slightest from the U.S. Military Code of Conduct, earned him the deepest respect from not only his fellow prisoners, but some of his captors as well. Rather than negotiate for his own release or better treatment, Col. Cook steadfastly frustrated attempts by the Viet Cong to break his indomitable spirit, and passed this same resolve on to the men with whose well-being he so closely associated himself. Knowing his refusals would prevent his release prior to the end of the war, and also knowing his chances for prolonged survival would be small in the event of continued refusal, he chose nevertheless to adhere to the U.S. Military Code of Conduct - far above that which could be expected. Colonel Cook, a son of Brooklyn, died on December 8, 1967 in a jungle Viet Cong Prisoner of War camp in the Republic of Vietnam. His remains were never recovered. For his enduring personal valor and exceptional spirit of loyalty in the face of almost certain death, Donald Gilbert Cook, a son of Brooklyn, was posthumously awarded the Medal Of Honor. He is the only Marine in history to receive it as a Prisoner of War. Donald, we honor you. Please honor this amazing Man by reposting so he is not forgotten Thank you
