Part of what made the Heat deal so valuable. Have team options (3rd & 4th yrs for first rounders) for players whose potential is already through the roof. #Bucks had until today to exercise the rookie scale option for the fourth-year of Kel’el and third-year of Kas because the Oct 31 deadline was on a weekend. Though my assumption is after the trade, Milwaukee’s plan was to always exercise the option for both guys, then reevaluate for a possible extension for Kas, and a new contract for Kel’el, next year.
The Milwaukee Bucks will exercise their rookie scale team options on Kel'el Ware ($7.14 million) and Kasparas Jakucionis ($4.02 million) for the 2027-28 season, league sources told @hoopshype.
