BREAKING: Elon Musk says debt markets have “almost entirely shut off” access to money for any company without substantial revenue independent of AI data centers. Neoclouds are going to see “guppy-level death and consolidation,” Musk says.

are the blowing up VARA current status and the new rumor Latest available SEC Form ADV (filed ~September 22, 2026) shows the firm’s hedge-fund gross assets at about $5.2 billion and regulatory AUM at roughly $9.1 billion. Its June 30 13F disclosed ~$16.7 billion in U.S. long equity positions. These figures are lower than the mid-year peak reports and are consistent with the July drawdown (plus possible redemptions or differences in how gross vs. regulatory AUM are calculated). The firm continued to file and report holdings; there are no public reports of liquidation, forced sales, or fund closure.Hedgethink As of October 15, the “blown up” claim remains an unverified rumor circulating on social media. No major outlets have confirmed a new catastrophic event, margin-call spiral, or collapse. The timing coincides with renewed weakness in AI infrastructure / “neocloud” names (CoreWeave, Nebius, etc.), driven by debt/bond stress, hot inflation data, and questions about the returns on massive AI capex. VARA’s known holdings overlap with these areas, so further mark-to-market pressure is plausible and could be fueling the talk.

$META & MICROSOFT ARE CUTTING INTERNAL CLAUDE USE AS THEY PUSH THEIR OWN AI TOOLS Meta and $MSFT, two major Anthropic customers, are reducing employee use of Claude, according to The Information. Microsoft had been on pace to spend at least $1B annually on internal Anthropic usage earlier this year, but has since cut that level by more than one-third. At Meta, Claude Code users have roughly halved to ~30,000 from ~60,000 earlier this year. Meanwhile: MetaCode users: 30,000+ Muse Code users: 6,000+ Meta still spent more than $105M on Claude Code over a recent 28-day period. Source: The Information

$MU All eyes will be on Micron’s Q4 earnings Wednesday! 👀 Analysts expect roughly $50.95B in revenue and $31.63 in adjusted EPS, with options pricing in about a 7% move by the end of the week. AI demand continues to drive massive growth in memory and HBM. Beat and raise, or another sell-the-news reaction?

Stan Druckenmiller says his edge was never IQ. "My advantage is not IQ. It's trigger pulling. I admit it's some kind of intelligence, but I wasn't in the top 10% of my class." He wasn't talking about being humble. He was talking about a system he still can't fully explain. Three months before he bought Nvidia, he says, "I don't think I knew how to spell in video." A partner at his firm told him it was the way to play AI. He bought a small position, enough to feel it. Then ChatGPT happened. He doubled the position. Then an analyst told the room they were "in the trees and missing the forest." He doubled again. The person who knew fifty times more about AI than anyone in that room sold his Nvidia early. Druckenmiller didn't understand the earnings, didn't understand the technology, and rode it from 150 to 800. "It's amazing how little I knew about Nvidia. I couldn't even tell you what the earnings were." He broke his own three-year rule and sold at 800. Five weeks later it hit 1,400. "I think contrarianism is overrated. The crowd is right 80% of the time." What's the trade you were right on for the wrong reason? One line below.

US stocks have never been this disconnected from each other: The median 63-day correlation between individual S&P 500 stocks and the index itself is down to +0.10, the lowest on record. This measures how closely individual stocks move with the broader index, with a reading this low meaning the index is being driven by a small group of stocks while most move independently. This figure has dropped -71% over the last 5 months. By comparison, during the March 2025 selloff, the median 63-day correlation surged to as much as +0.76. To put this into perspective, the previous all-time low was +0.16 following the 2000 Dot-Com Bubble burst. The market is more concentrated than ever.
