▸ The Madras High Court has sought responses from the Union government, X, Instagram, Saurav Das and his family in a PIL filed by a Kancheepuram-based businessman.
▸ The petition seeks a detailed probe into allegations concerning Das's family background and claimed Nepal lineage.
▸ It also seeks cancellation of his Aadhaar and passport, along with restrictions on his social media accounts.
▸ The petitioner has raised allegations over Das's social media remarks about the judiciary and sought action over them.
▸ A bench led by Chief Justice Sushrut Arvind Dharmadhikari has directed the respondents to file their replies within six weeks.
