Let’s not rewrite history to fit a narrative. Rave culture wasn’t created exclusively for LGBTQ+ people, and nobody owns a genre of music or a style of partying. House music, techno and rave culture evolved through different communities and movements across the world. Acknowledging the contributions of Black LGBTQ+ people is important, but claiming that raves belong to one group and everyone else is just borrowing from them is a stretch. Rave is not a gay culture. It is all about the music.

Over 500 Cultists Renounce Membership, Undertake Oath of Dissociation in Edo State today
Over 500 former cult members in Edo State have reportedly renounced their membership of various cult groups and undertaken an oath of dissociation, publicly declaring their decision to abandon cultism and distance themselves from activities associated with the groups.
The development comes amid measures by Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, to tackle cultism, curb cult-related violence and improve security across the state.
The oath of dissociation marks a formal declaration by the former members to cut ties with their former groups and embrace a peaceful way of life.
