javits frimpong & damilola taylor could’ve been any one of us. we aren’t special just because our parents emigrated earlier than theirs. that conversation needs to be had.

‘What wrong with you?’ Terrified pedestrian asks dangerous Lime bike rider skidding past her on pavement opposite St Thomas’s Hospital, London. Other pedestrians subjected to people riding bikes at speed & close passing them when they have green man to cross road. @ShabanaMahmood

Ngl I’m happy that guy is getting pushback for that Saka video - you lot think targeting Saka is ok for some weird reason. It’s yr10 childish humour. You don’t have to ‘rate’ Saka but you don’t have to constantly mock him too. I think it’s just pure jealously hidden by laughs tbh

You think you escaped the third world only to get airdropped into third world urban conflict
My heart man
Javits Frimpong, a 15-year-old Ghanaian boy, was shot and killed while reportedly walking to school in the Bronx, New York, on Thursday, October 29, 2026.
CCTV footage captured the moment Javits was running for his life shortly before he was fatally shot. His father, Thomas Frimpong, disclosed that the school’s principal had informed him three days earlier that two students had been bullying Javits and had been suspended for a week.

We started the month with a new documentary on Damilola Taylor and are ending it with a murder that’s eerily similar, 20+ years later.

That story of that Ghanaian kid that was killed in the Bronx got me fucked up. Children can be so cruel, kid immigrated to this country for a better life only to get bullied and murdered within a calendar year. Reading stuff like that breaks my heart.
