New Hampshire just achieved a historic victory for school choice: Governor Kelly Ayotte has signed SB 295 into law, dramatically expanding Education Freedom Accounts statewide. So humbled to be present for the bill signing. By removing income restrictions, this legislation makes EFAs available to all New Hampshire students, empowering every family to choose the best education for their children. Education reform advocates are celebrating, noting that New Hampshire is now leading the way in education freedom and setting a national example. I have been inundated with emails supporting Universal Education Freedom Accounts. I want to thank you all for taking the time to reach out. Far too often we only hear from organizations. It is nice to hear from actual constituents. Have a wonderful day!

Education freedom is far less costly than the opponents make it out to be. Let's not forget that the avergae per-pupil cost in NH for public school is over $21k a year. Universal school choice is pennies on the dollar by comparison. 🔗

This week is also National School Choice Week—a timely reminder of the importance of empowering families to find the best educational fit for their children. I recently wrote a piece for the Concord Monitor arguing that HB 115, which expands New Hampshire’s Education Freedom Account (EFA) program, is a crucial step toward fairness and equity in education. By removing income caps, this bill ensures that every student, regardless of their family’s financial situation, has access to the opportunities they deserve. Education isn’t one-size-fits-all, and parents should have the freedom to choose what’s best for their kids. Let’s keep the conversation going about how we can create a more equitable, student-focused education system. Thank you, Rep McDonnell. It’s time to level the playing field and focus on fully funding education, not buildings and bureaucrats.

Watching the debate about this Sat. budget vote at Kearsarge Regional District; if they should cap at $27,000 per student or spend $34,000 per student. $27,000 per student is probably enough? What do you think? Clearly the Education Freedom Account (EFA) families are working miracles with the modest (average $5,000 per student) EFA grants! #edfreedom
