This is the correct opinion. And the game changer imo would be a presidential candidate making a push for this amendment part of their campaign. One Sentence in the Constitution Is Causing America Huge Problems nytimes.com/2025/08/21/opini… via @NYTOpinion

Just 19,000 or so kids had to die.
The victory Trump and Netanyahu have achieved in the Middle East is shockingly comprehensive. It’s going to take a few years for people to fully digest what just happened over the last 16 months. Every regional enemy decimated. Alliances with the rest consolidated and translated into material gains. The enemy’s global supply chains utterly compromised. What was supposed to incur a death toll in the millions and global economic devastation has instead killed only 26 and slightly raised gas prices, still lower than in 2022. Not even in Dick Cheney’s wildest dreams was this considered possible.

I really hope people never forget this blatant racism. ‘Somalis are low iq people and screwing you over. ‘ trump will be gone someday but people won’t forget your racist bullshit and should throw it in your face every time you show your face
🚨 President Trump just sent a WARNING to Ohio: elect Democrats, and be invaded by SOMALIS like Minnesota "They come in, they have nothing, and they're the number one buyers of Mercedes, Benz and BMWs in the state of Minnesota." "They're low IQ people!" "If you want to stop Ohio from being PLUNDERED, RANSACKED, and DESTROYED like Minnesota is being destroyed, vote for John Husted and vote for Vivek Ramaswamy." "Just like we did with Springfield. We're going to STOP it. We're NOT going to let it happen."

The students in this class at @RowanUniversity should address this slander. I just don’t find it believable at all & if my professor was putting this out across social media I’d be pissed. (This might be me coping with reality I don’t wanna believe but i just don’t buy it)
This is crazy. A professor is claiming that none of his 40 students in a finance class can perform division or subtraction. He names the university: Rowan University. I would write this off as rage bait but for naming of the college. someone explain before i go into doom spiral

Obviously, you don’t have to be a lawyer to be press secretary but why must MAGA lie and grift about EVERYTHING.
Q: You said Zacharia is an attorney. Where did she pass the bar exam? What state? ZACHARIA: When I moved to China

I have a memory of being, I don’t know, 6 or 7 - right around the turn of the millennium. I had driven downtown with my dad, and we parked in a back lot. A group of young guys are standing around, and one of them walks up to my dad and demands some money. My dad gives it to him, and the guy asks him for more. My dad gave it to him again, and asked if that was enough. Then we walked away. I remember being very confused, because the guy had an expensive Walkman. I thought, why does he have to beg for money if he can afford this Walkman? But of course, he wasn’t poor. He was just mugging my dad in front of his kid in the middle of a major city. Because that was something you could do in downtown Pittsburgh in the early 00s.
There’s a decent amount of denial about how much worse urban crime was in late-20th century America. If you don’t remember stuff like The Club, removable car stereos, or subway graffiti ask your parents or local LLM.

I made an unsettling discovery in my undergraduate class on financial planning last week. While explaining mortgages, I asked my 38 students this question: if you buy a $400,000 house and pay 20% in cash towards the purchase, what will be the amount that you finance? Not a single student could tell me the answer. Despite the fact that they are all juniors and seniors majoring in business. I added more questions: what is 30 percent of 80? 60 percent of 90? They didn’t know. The closest they got was when one student said, in response to my query of “40% of 70”, that “I know it’s 4 times 7 but I don’t remember what that is.” Another student helpfully added, “28.” They explained to me why they couldn’t answer these math questions: they were never taught multiplication tables, percentages or fractions during their K-12 schooling. Instead, they were taught how to use a calculator. Without one, they are not able to do basic arithmetic. I later asked the dean about this, and he lamented that this isn’t a thing just for our university’s students; it’s a thing for their entire generation, nationwide. When I was in K-12, the fierce debate among parents and educators was whether to allow calculators in class. The calculators won. Today, the debate is about AI. And like before, the tech will win. But will that truly be a victory? Rowan University #college #math #loans #CFP #financialplanning

The primary benefit to pushing home ownership in us is that it forces saving. The majority of renters are not putting the balance saved from renting into an investment .
The financial advantage of owning over renting is much slimmer than most people think.

The call happened and is not fake. He gave a random code that matched a patient and that’s what the lady on the phone confirmed. The fact that the timeline didn’t match up apparently didn’t bother him. Nor did he see the need to try and verify the claim at all.

Naked Shrek pictures are protected speech, and sending one to an elected official is simply not harassment if the First Amendment is to mean anything at all.
JURY DECIDES: GUILTY. Political blogger D.J. Byrnes, "The Rooster" has been found guilty of telecommunications harassment, sending an image of naked Shrek to Ohio GOP Sen. Jerry Cirino. @WEWS @WCPO @OhioCapJournal ARTICLE INCOMING

This is such a good closing statement.
Andrews: She’s been told to call me Bernie Ocasio Mamdani. That’s in her script. But the truth is my name is Annie Andrews. There should not be any confusion about that because unlike my opponent I have not changed my name recently

Yes, the hospital is now involved in the conspiracy. That’s clearly the most logical next step to take here. If it were me, I’d be furious at nick sortor and the other guy who took up a bunch of space & time that could have been used for actual persuasion of voters
It's a very interesting way they worded it. Never received treatment.

It’s depressing how many replies to this are not even anger about the subsidizing but rather anger about sharing these museums with undesirables.
Getting angry that disadvantaged kids may get to go to shedd aquarium is a miserable way to live.

LOL & then because his followers are still too stupid to follow this train of thought he has to clarify the call is still definitely real. I don’t think it can be overstated how dumb these people are.
Lmao this doofus thinks he is being super clever by spreading the lie while saying he can’t abide a hipaa violation. The supposed call makes no sense stating he was supposedly discharged same night he was seen at concert. It’s all so dumb.

I know that at a certain point it makes me sound naive, but I think we should be clear that a president announcing a ceasefire signed by two warring countries that doesn't actually exist is and should be the sort of thing that gets him swiftly removed from office.

I just spoke with @MarkJCarney, @alexstubb, and @SecGenNATO Mark Rutte. We discussed the energy ceasefire announced by President Trump. Ukraine supports the ceasefire, and it is important that Russia support it as well. We are awaiting details from the American side. For our part, Ukraine always FULLY supports steps toward de-escalation, the protection of lives, and the decisions needed to end the war and guarantee lasting peace. Thank you!
