I have Trump supporters telling me that it's all overblown, everything will be good for everyone, and I have other Trump supporters telling me that I'm going to be sent to a death camp

As the biggest Kamala stan here. I told y'all not to stab Biden in the back. It's not because I didn't want Kamala in the White House, it's because I didn't trust YOU🫵🏾 to vote for anyone other than the white guy

Having grown up in Berlusconi's Italy, I can feel it in my bones that when they win the first time, it's tough, but when they win *again*, after all they've demonstrated, *that's* the really hard one to take
Post-coup Trump being the first Republican to win the popular vote in 20 years is wild

I mean the bar was in hell for Donald Trump and he didn’t clear it. That’s actually what this is about. This country expects less than nothing from privileged white men. And they provide it in abundance.

These pundits need to stop saying that Democrats need to sell their policies better to working class voters. Democrats have done that. People voting for Trump want to indulge their bigotry and hatred, and Trump allows them to do it.

The media this morning saying Dems need to have a reckoning. No, we don't. We can't be blamed because we expected Americans to be who they always claim they are. Democrats don't have a messaging problem. America has a racism problem.

In the coming days there's gonna be a lot of opining about what the Harris campaign did wrong, but this election was not an indictment of Kamala Harris. It was an indictment of America.

If Trump wins, there will be efforts to blame Russian interference or the Harris campaign or Biden, etc. That's all fair. But we need to be clear eyed that a huge swath of America likes what Trump is selling. Transphobia. Mass deportation. That's what he ran on. And here we are.

They will try to ratify this with violence against an out-group. There are a whole bunch of people outside the circle. Everyone will feel it. But we know who's going to be targeted first. All my life I've been trying to combat the "it can't happen here" conceit. No one learns.

Seems to me like asking for the God of Cats to take an interest in you, and not in a good way.

Well, that's a thing. It's a mashup of Galaxy Quest, Rick Astley, and a pep rally.

Now that you've seen both Obama and Harris campaign to perfection, you understand why we say Black people have to be twice as good just to get half the credit

If "defund the police" is too radical, could we at least consider "defund the sheriffs"? They are the last true bastion of the slave catcher ethos. It's like their implicit tagline: "Stay where you were placed and out of the countryside. We're out here, waiting. *spits chaw*"
Ohio Sheriff's Lieutenant in hot water after social posts; “I am sorry. If you support the Democratic Party, I will not help you” and “The problem is that I know which of you supports the Democratic Party, and I will not help you survive the end of days.” wtrf.com/top-stories/ohio-sh…

One prosecutor turns to another: "This guy. Can you believe it?" And they both chuckle.

Every few months, some ER doctor goes viral for saying you need to take it very seriously when a male patient says his wife made him come in, and I'm infuriated that women are considered reliable ONLY when they're saying a man needs care, but not when she needs care herself. 🙃

This has been the story of almost every election since Dobbs, and it’s been doggedly ignored because women’s right to their own bodies lacks the noble savage appeal that Coastal media bestows upon the White Working Class as the true representative folk of America’s inland empire.

Republicans, what you forgot about Faustian bargains with Mephistopheles is that not only he takes your soul, he doesn’t deliver. Donald Trump won one race with 46.1% and you folded on every value you claimed to believe. You deserve this.

It's very funny that all the smart savvy bois say stuff like this during election season. Like there should be televised senate hearings about how making fun of some Ole Miss frat guy is becoming a national epidemic
whatever happens this election i think "bro" being culturally coded as an inherently toxic or negative thing/trait in so many spaces is....unsurprisingly a part (but a big part) of why many young men have drifted the way they have
