This tribal warrior just SHOOK Delhi 🔥 Katon Moyong, the "Abor Man", tore apart the Siang dam lies, and Delhi Police answered with detention 🚨 On 31 October, he and others protested outside Arunachal Bhavan. Peacefully. Against a dam that could drown their homeland. Delhi Police detained them 🤬 Listen to what he said: "India, you came with books and medicine in the 1950s. We respected that with folded hands." 🙏 "Today we are Indian citizens because you didn't come with guns and armies." 🇮🇳 Now the guns have arrived in his villages 🪖 "47 years! Don't these three words enter your ears? NO SIANG DAM. How many times should we say it?" Pema Khandu still isn't listening 🙉 Watch how the excuse keeps changing. 1979: flood control. 2008: national interest. 2017: national project. Now: "national security" and China's "water bomb" 💣 He calls it a lie to their face: China's project is "run-of-river... not storing the water." The fear is a PR script, he says, to push a mega project 📢 He holds up MoUs and challans: 145 MoUs with hydro companies, signed behind the villagers' backs. "River first, then forest, then mountains, everything will be sold." 🌊 Armed men in every corner of the villages, stopping farmers with daos: "Where are you going?" Then he opened his jacket: "I'm empty-handed... what you hold is my life." 💔 Adivasi apni nadi bachane Delhi aaye toh police ki gaadi mili, aur thekedaaron ke liye red carpet! Siang ki awaaz dabaoge, toh poora Northeast bolega 🗿🔥

150+ papers have leaked in last 10 years. 10Cr+ youngsters are unemployed. 13Cr+ people have been removed from voter lists. Our air is polluted. Our water is dirty. Our roads are broken. But talk about these issues, and the govt says US-Nepal-Bangladesh-Pakistan.
The nation is being run by clueless leaders who have no idea how to tackle real problems. Whenever someone demands accountability, they simply drag Pakistan into the conversation to derail the debate. - @AshutoshRanka

Who will tell Chief Justice of India Surya Kant that no one is interested in "occupying" a site and sleep on the road "forever", especially when we live in such mehengai wale times? That circumstances created by the government and the inaction, or rather, aid and abetment of judiciary sometimes ultimately forces a large number of people to finally come out on the street to protest? That no one is interested in facing a brutal crackdown, despite knowing that the Court rarely comes to protesters' help or cracks the whip on government/police. And yet they do because that is the only way forward given that the government does not even bother to invite the protesters for a dialogue? Chief Justice Kant and his bench's remarks reflect an ivory-tower mindset, detached from all reality, zero recognition of people's class and caste struggles, a failure to wake up and smell the coffee, and which will definitely not go down well with the people. If you see so many people willing to come out and protest despite grave risks, then try to understand why they are doing so, rather than trying to shoot them down with all these questions, remarks, and arbitrary imposition of rules. How many questions did this Bench ask of the government about Gyanu and ECI fraud? Exactly. That tells you the entire story. To the government and state institutions I would say that if you don't want people to protest, then stop treating them like cockroaches and parasites and get the shit done for which you have been put in that position.

How does one even begin to comprehend this cruelty? A mother seeking justice for her daughter being dragged like this? What we have come to as a society? Justice for Ankita is the bare minimum. Answers for denial of justice and this kind of police brutality is the immediate necessity after that.

Every decision taken by Gyanesh Kumar has now been reversed. But reversing those decisions raises an even bigger question: If his actions were serious enough to warrant reversal, shouldn't there be consequences for the man responsible? And more importantly, what if @RitikaChopra__ had never exposed this? What if there had been no public outrage? Would these decisions have ever been reversed? How many such decisions go unquestioned simply because nobody exposes them?

Why are the CM and FM of West Bengal so frightened of CJP? Calling CJP irrelevant won’t hide your insecurity. The desperation speaks louder than your words.

If situations were not dire, these Gen Z workers would be demanding the useless textile minister to resign asap. But they are here demanding just 1 day off in a week, imagine the slavery like conditions forced on the country's young workforce.
#Cracknomics | Surat’s Gen Z Workers Protest Labour Exploitation @Kabiran_ talks about Surat’s migrant workers protesting long hours, delayed wages and lack of weekly offs, amid rising youth unemployment and reports of workers returning to their villages.

Since the start of October, Instagram has been restricting the posts, and often the entire accounts, of journalists and news creators reporting on the protests in Delhi. Each one got the same one-line notice citing the IT Rules, 2021 as a whole. Four accounts for which legal notices were sent with our assistance were restored on 19 and 20 October. Meta gave no clear notification and still hasn’t said on whose order, or under what provision, they were restricted. (1/7) Read More: internetfreedom.in/instagram…

🚨 WHEN QUESTIONING POWER BECOMES A REASON FOR INTIMIDATION! A citizen with no criminal case against them is being asked to furnish a ₹10,000 peace bond. This raises serious questions about the use of preventive powers by the police and administration. When the government is questioned, should the response be accountability or pressure? When the police are expected to protect citizens, should their powers become a source of fear? And when the courts are approached for justice, shouldn't constitutional rights remain at the centre of every decision? Peace cannot be forced through fear, and democracy cannot survive without the freedom to question those in power. A democracy is not defined by how peacefully its citizens remain silent, but by how freely they can speak without fear.

You can’t even imagine what’s happening to our country. From the Election Commission and voting rights to border security, America’s blackmailing and pressure, corruption, and the judiciary....everything raises serious concerns. Add hunger, unemployment, and the stock market to the list, and the situation looks even more worrying. Democracy, justice, national security, and the future of our youth ...everything deserves serious attention. Where are we heading as a country?

A few years ago, Ashu had a high-paying corporate job in London, earning millions. Saurav was writing about the country’s legal system and living a great life. Both had successful careers, financial security and every reason to continue living the lives they had built for themselves. But they chose to give it all up in the hope of making this country a better place. They had absolutely no reason to leave behind their comfortable lives, take to the streets, face uncertainty and eventually end up in jail. Yet they did. What I admire most about these two is that despite coming from privileged backgrounds, they chose to fight for those who aren’t as fortunate. They could have easily looked the other way, enjoyed their lives and never bothered about the struggles of people they had never even met. Nobody asked them to make these sacrifices. Nobody expected them to. But they did, because they genuinely care about people beyond themselves. And to me, that is the greatest quality a human being can have. To stand up for people you don’t know, to fight battles that aren’t your own, and to risk everything you have so that someone else might have a better life. That’s the kind of people Ashu and Saurav are.

It’s been more than five days now. Why are Saurav Das and Aushtosh Ranka still in jail? How much longer will they have to wait for justice?

Delhi Police’s new tender for eight “Vajra” riot control vehicles rests on a Ministry of Home Affairs approval to condemn four. The 115-item technical specification turns the tear-gas truck into a mobile camera tower with an onboard “AI” computer and a drone launch deck. Nothing in the paperwork says what the cameras record, where the footage goes, who may fly the drone, or why the order doubled. (1/7) Read More: internetfreedom.in/delhi-pol…
