Markets are truly amazing May 2025 - Hero market cap - 77000/78000 Cr Ather market cap - 11600 cr Today - Hero Market cap - 1.15 Lakh cr Ather market cap - 58000 Cr Ather's market cap gap with Hero has narrowed from being just 1/7th to just 1/2, or 50% Hero sold 65L units in FY26, Ather sold 2.62L units in FY26 Despite having 25x higher sales than Ather, the mcap difference is just 2x for Hero :) The reasons for this valuation are many: high growth, new-age business, sexy consumer products that are relatable, turning around from loss to profit, supply problems (capacity is lower and demand is massive; in fact, their dealers have stopped punching pre-orders; capacity expansion of 3x in 3-4 years) That begs the question: Can Ather overtake Hero in mcap one day?
