[FULL VID] with eng translation below ⬇️
“The first time I encountered brain art was through the artist Hodu’s project.
The project Hodu developed was a very unique form of art that showed how anyone could take some writing or a picture and, through their own brainwaves, transform it into a work of art.
So I thought it was really fascinating, and I was drawn to that aspect, so I decided to take part. Using
brainwaves, I found it really interesting that anyone—even someone who isn’t an artist—could create this kind of art, and because everyone’s brainwaves are different, everyone can create all kinds of art that reflect their own individuality. I found that really exciting.
And even the same person can get completely
different results even when testing their brainwaves multiple times, depending on their emotional state at that moment—whether they’re feeling happy, angry, or sad. I found that really interesting too,
Although people who practice calligraphy
professionally might see this as something that could really be made fun of, when I was little, in elementary school, my teachers apparently decided that I had a talent for calligraphy, so I did enter a few competitions back then. I do have that experience. But it’s been such a long time since I last held a brush, so it didn’t turn out as well as I wanted it to. Still, this is also my own kind of handwriting and my own individuality, so I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of artwork might be created from it through my brainwaves.
I could draw a picture, or express something anything I want to convey—with paint or ink, or whatever, and then use my brainwaves to create a work from it, but...I thought, why not try the calligraphy I did as a child for this project? So I wanted to use calligraphy to test the movement of my brainwaves.”
