Barr (and his $1,000 sport coat) has an election tomorrow. Andy Beshear is the Chair of DGA and in that capacity, he travels the country promoting Dem gubernatorial candidates. He’s on the cusp of overseeing Ds sweep a majority of governorships, due to being good at what he does

Barr's rallying in Lexington tonight. Beshear's in Wisconsin after a day in Iowa and Nebraska. Say what you want about a sport coat, at least the man showed up in Kentucky the night before it votes.

Hey @GOPJake …
Tell @RepAndyBarr … maybe don’t take a selfie on an airport tarmac, boarding a private jet most Kentuckians couldn’t afford to fly in.
You are indeed a gift who keeps on giving, Jake.
Maybe don’t take a selfie in a hotel lobby that most Kentuckians couldn’t afford to stay in, @AndyBeshearKY.
Don’t let this Goon get away w/acting like an Alvarado win tmrw night is some kind of miracle. KY6 is as gerrymandered as a gerrymandered district gets. Even in a blue wave environment, the D candidate should have no business coming close here. This should be a layup for Alvarado
Fascinating to see @LarrySabato move KY06 from Tossup to Lean R.
Don’t give up faith, folks. @AlvaradoForKY can and will win this thing. Bring it home, Ralph!

Debbie Dingell is such a fascinating figure in Michigan politics. She was her late husband Big John's closest advisers. She was screaming like her hair was on fire that Hillary Clinton might lose in Michigan (and she was mocked) and now she's an enforcer in the party.

My guess: the most influential Michigan Dem names when it comes to determining turnout & ticket loyalty are probably Whitmer and Slotkin, not Stevens or El-Sayed.

Welp. This is insane. I disavow. Even if you don't care for Abdul, absolute insane to support a Republican (especially in this climate).

I’ve never been an AES fan but how do I look at something like this and conclude she would have been anything other than a Fetterman if she had won.

Mehdi, you traffic in bad-faith ad hominem attacks. You traffic in bad-faith identity politics. You've made a career out of calling people “racist.”
I'm sure that shtick was an absolute gold mine 10 years ago.
But for someone who claims to care so deeply about racism, you're remarkably comfortable trivializing it whenever it suits you.
I argue for a living. I just did three long interviews with Neera Tanden, Matthew Yglesias, and Sarah Longwell, all of whom have politics not dissimilar to your own, and they all criticized me just fine and there was no mention of racism by them or me.
Why lie like this about me? Just because you don’t want to come on my show, or debate me anywhere other than quick Twitter dunks?
And why mock the idea of racism when there is so much of it about right now?
Strange.

I would still bet on Paxton winning. Some things are too good to be true and Talarico is more likely to narrowly lose than anything else.
#TexasSenate
NYT: James Talarico’s internals are within the margin of error.
Some recent public surveys show Talarico either tied with Paxton or within the margin of error with a 2-point lead.
The candidate’s internal polls match those tighter surveys, people close to Talarico said, and may not be fully capturing the sentiments of rural conservative voters who support Trump.

What @BeauBayh is doing is nothing sort of incredible- he’s leading in a state that Trump won by 19 points, in a race that no Democrat has won in the last 34 years.
The Democratic Party’s resurgence is real; and its path is through states like IN and candidates like Beau
In 1962, my grandad Birch ran for office, but there was one problem - nobody knew how to pronounce our name. So his campaign came up with a jingle to help voters remember it.
As we approach Election Day, I wanted to bring that tune back and put my own spin on it.
My grandad’s example inspired me to believe in the power of public service to make a real difference in people’s lives. He helped pass the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act, authored the constitutional amendment lowering the voting age to 18 so that the young Americans fighting and dying in Vietnam would have a voice in choosing their leaders, and championed Title IX, opening doors for generations of women in college athletics.
I’m proud to carry on that tradition of service in my own way.

I’ll give you that. You know what’s wrong in healthcare because you’re what’s wrong.
Ralph Alvarado has literally been implicated in Medicare fraud, and profited while he drove nursing homes into the ground.
As a practicing doctor for 30 years, I know what’s wrong in health care, how to bring prices down & where to install transparency.
@ZachDemboKY would just pile more government bureaucracy onto a costly & subpar system that government already broke.
Dembo supported the policies that broke the health care system.
It will take a doctor to fix it.

The env’t might still allow him to win but this is another sign of how much more difficult AES has made this race. Many Dems will throw up their hands at both, but as the nominee the burden of building a majority coalition falls mostly on him. Yet his 1st instinct is to narrow.
