i really really like the detail in the numbers but the white on cream is 👎🏼👎🏼
First look at the Toronto Maple Leafs Hometown Remix jersey, featuring a unique leaf vein pattern in the logo and numbers. Thoughts?
#Leafs #PassionNeverSleeps #HometownRemix
and when they dismantle the tampa bay lightning I want jon cooper and brandon hagel on the first flight to toronto btw
just saw a video of the former prime minister and his popstar gf dancing in a home hardware next time anyone wants to say it’s hard to be a hockey player in this country
everyone who pretends that all these players wanting out is just a players rights issue that you should be on the side of no matter what and ignore the giant geopolitical elephant in the room is being unserious
but sure let’s ignore it: fans in this league are generally more loyal to the team than individual players, they invest in players who sell them the hope of bringing their team a victory. if the player bounces on that dream then as a fan you don’t need to give a shit about them
if am34 ever nuked his reputation like this in toronto I would be leading the anti matthews demonstrations myself

Seven months ago there were people on here asking that the USA captaincy be taken off Matthews' chest and put on Larkin's mid-Olympics lol
So, to recap the Larkin situation, this year he has:
- Said he wants to be a Red Wing for life
- Missed the playoffs again (scored one even strength goal after the Olympics btw)
- Demanded a trade (but only to the top 3 US contenders)
- Lost the captaincy
- Begrudgingly showed up to camp (but wouldn't *really* answer any questions & got "injured)
- Decided to play & said his focus was on winning games
- Expanded his trade list (to the top 10 US contenders)
- Publicly quit on his team for a second time
Missing anything? Seems like a really easy guy to root for
i’m old enough to remember when players would submit a trade request and keep showing up to their jobs they’re paid to do
There were talks in the the last 24 hours between Larkin's camp and the Red Wings, both last night and again this morning, and what was communicated from the agents to Detroit was that Larkin feels he's given the team ample time since his trade request in May to get a deal done. Larkin has had enough, so decision was made he won't play tonight nor for foreseable future hoping a trade materializes. Fluid situation still. Red Wings circling back to teams with interest, etc., as talks escalate.
