An emotional day. Little guy is growing up.
The GitHub Copilot SDK is growing up to become the Microsoft Copilot SDK in order to reflect its broad adoption across our organizations, platforms and tools. From a small technical preview to many millions of users in under 12 months. github.blog/changelog/2026-1…

I love hardware badges but don't usually have the time to hack on them but I had fun trying out the @github Copilot app to build a little game for my Universe badge, using its built-in accelerometer and gyroscope for tilt controls. #GitHubUniverse

Brilliant walkthrough from @jeffhollan! We'll cover more on Copilot harness agents in Foundry Agent Service next Monday on my weekly livestream: aka.ms/foundryhandoff – at Redmond, WA
The @github engineering team built a best-in-class, truly multi-model harness, which we've implemented across Microsoft products. Introducing Microsoft Copilot harness in Foundry Agent Service, a simpler way to build agents without rebuilding the execution layer. It handles orchestration, tools, context, and controls so you can focus on your agent’s skills and outcomes. Watch @jeffhollan's demo to see it in action.

We sold out in-person tickets this year, but hoping you can still show me what you got. I’ve got a few extra customizable GitHub keyboards that we’ll ship to three people who can build a wild custom canvas that makes their workday better in the GitHub Copilot app. May the odds be ever in your favor. 😄

What happens when an off-the-shelf model isn't quite enough for your use case? 👀 On yesterday’s Model Mondays, we looked at how Fireworks on Microsoft Foundry makes it possible to take open models further catch the episode: youtube.com/watch?v=pmz_6Sg0…

Last week in Cologne I showed how you can use the GitHub Copilot App and Foundry to build an agent you can deploy across Teams, Outlook or an app of your choice. I also showed how you can integrate our new Decision 1 model for intent classification. I'm interested in agents that can recognise intent and then take action independetly if they decide they can be helpful, so this was fun to show!

Spent the weekend testing out our new Universe badges with my son. He gave it a 10/10. RP2350 on MicroPython, 2.8" TFT, accelerometer that auto-flips the screen, capacitive gaming controls, and an AGENTS.md so Copilot can code + deploy to it. 🤓
