I too think RLM overstated that particular point but to call Mike and Rich "tourists" to Star Trek is the dumbest shit I've ever heard
When Picard Season 1 released, RLM put out a video trashing the show because they claimed Picard and Data were never friends in the series. But those who aren’t tourists pretending to be experts on YouTube know that’s not true and the friendship between Picard and Data was one of the highlights of TNG in both the series and movies. Picard relished in teaching humanity to Data and there are a lot of moments like this throughout the show, and it paid off in the finale when Picard is in the past and hears the “younger” Data in Engineering. Picard gets this smile on his face because he remembered how much he enjoyed mentoring Data in humanity.

RIP Demon
Patrick Stewart, who will be remembered most for his roles as Captain Jean-Luc Picard on “Star Trek: The Next Generation” and as Professor Charles Xavier in the “X-Men” films, has died at 86. variety.com/2026/tv/news/pat…

I like that people are going "Here's my favorite part of Venture Bros." & it's just every clip from every episode ever. It's honestly just that good.

Patrick Stewart's entire body of work, but as Picard in particular, is something that connects the person I am today with who I was as a kid. It collapses time for me. I still have the same awe and fascination with his performance and belief that it represents the best of us.

I think it's quite telling that the CEO of Shopify can come on here and say gay people don't deserve rights but people are more outraged that a woman in a hijab makes an edgy joke.
The sanctimonious outrage over this dark joke is getting tiresome. You wanna know what actually hurts vulnerable people, preys on mental illness, encourages self-harm, and costs lives? Bradford's proposed policies around homelessness and addiction.

(Not to mention the rampant, vicious racism). Did Bradford ever disavow these attitudes from his fans? Did any of the conservative circus go on a days-long crusade vowing to destroy the lives and careers of those commenters? Did they even bat an eyelid? Of course not!

In short, get over it you dweebs. Tut-tut at a tasteless joke then move the fuck on. There are more important things to do, like fishing your monocle out of your champagne and wiping the palm-sweat off your pearls.

Cartman is easily one of the greatest voice acting performances of all time and while glimmers of that greatness still occasionally show through in the new episodes, like most aspects of the show it peaked a long time ago.
This scene where Trey Parker breaks the mic with his screaming always pops up in my head time to time. I genuinely miss when Eric sounded like such a little shit.

The landlord class fundamentally doesn't view tenants as people but just as lines in a spreadsheet and fodder for "tradeoffs", exhibit one million

A good time to remember that Toronto Police have already been told to present a plan for putting cops in every subway station next year. Chow (and all of council) voted for it, and soon the cops will present her with the likely-very-hefty bill to make it happen.
Replying to @GraphicMatt
The rest of Bradford's subway safety motion is APPROVED 23-0. secure.toronto.ca/council/ag…

That doesn't mean it's a done deal - it means it will be one of the main things Chow and council have to make a decision on for the 2027 budget. One hopes the new crop of progressive councillors will take a stand against it. As for cop-friendly Chow? Time to put the pressure on.

It was Bradford's motion. As you can see, Chow and all of council (except two absent councillors and one who declared a conflict of interest) supported it. We've got what looks like a very different council now - the outcome of this will tell us if it's *actually* different.
