fr, “harm reduction” means dispensing naloxone in public for quick emergency access, or storing contraceptives for teens whose parents won’t. it doesn’t mean supporting “good” politicians (even as a strategic means to an end) source: my masters in public health policy

they’re right. harm reduction is a public health framework that was very specifically developed in the context of substance use and other risky behaviors. it really has no business being used in the context of electoral politics. 😭

y’all are too old to still be this purposefully obtuse. saying it’s not harm reduction isn’t even saying don’t do it but y’all immediately go into defense mode and deflect rather than sit in a single moment of discomfort. “harm reduction” is harm redistribution if anything.
