Captain Smit Machchhar, the Indian captain of flydubai Flight 1073, fought back after being stabbed in the cockpit.
Despite being severely injured, he managed to unlock the cockpit door - allowing Israeli passengers and the Emirati crew to intervene and save all the passengers.
Together, their extraordinary courage saved 174 lives.

Todd Beamer = hero
He was 32 years old, on a business trip, with a pregnant wife and two little boys waiting for him at home.
On September 11, 2001, Todd Beamer boarded United Flight 93, headed from Newark to San Francisco. He was supposed to come home to his family. Instead, he became part of a group of ordinary Americans who made an extraordinary decision.
After hijackers took control of the plane, Todd reached a telephone operator on the ground. He told her what was happening, asked her to pray with him, and learned that other planes had already struck the World Trade Center.
The passengers understood that their plane was likely being used as another weapon. They had a choice: remain in their seats and hope for the best, or fight back.
They chose to fight.
Todd and the other passengers and crew members organized an effort to retake the cockpit. At the end of his call, the operator heard him say:
“Are you guys ready? Okay. Let’s roll.”
Minutes later, Flight 93 crashed into a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. All 40 passengers and crew members were killed, but the hijackers never reached their intended target.
Todd Beamer never made it home. Neither did the other 39 innocent people aboard that plane. But their courage helped prevent another attack on American soil.
They were not soldiers. They were people going to work, visiting family, and living ordinary lives.
And when the moment came, they fought back.

Now let an independent federal investigation determine whether federal taxpayers were affected and whether federal law was complied with.
Hobbs declined an in-person interview and instead provided written statements through her attorneys shortly before the investigation was concluded.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani was booed off stage Tuesday night while attending one of the city's biggest pro-police celebrations on Staten Island.
Loud boos and jeers erupted from the crowd before Mamdani could get through his remarks, cutting his appearance short to less than a minute before he left the stage.
About 3,500 residents and families attended the NYPD's 43rd Patrol Borough National Night Out Against Crime event, according to the local reports.

🚨#BREAKING: A man who m*rdered his own FATHER because he was asked to WASH DISHES... is now accused of setting a fire that burned roughly 700 homes to the ground and forced 65,000 people to flee.
Yes, he k*lled his dad over DISHES and he wasn't in prison.
His name is Aaron Farinacci. He's 37.
Back in 2010, in Mesa, Arizona, Farinacci got into an argument with his father, because his father asked him to do the dishes.
So he shot him de*d.
Then he pointed the gun at his own mother.
Then he shot himself and survived.
He was charged with first-degree M*RDER... but that got knocked down, and he pleaded guilty to mansl*ughter.
Now fast forward to this week in Spokane, Washington.
The Old Trails Fire tore through neighborhoods north of the city. It destroyed around 700 structures, most of them homes.
As many as 65,000 people were forced to evacuate. Investigators say it was intentionally set.
And they've arrested Aaron Farinacci.
Police say he had waterproof matches and a butane lighter on him and found him kneeling in the grass right where the fire started.
The sheriff says he's been contacted before for "arson-related behavior."
Here's the part that will make you sick.
On the DAY the fire started, a witness reported a nervous man in the trees.
Police actually stopped Farinacci a mile away, questioned him... and let him GO.
Now 700 families may be staring at the ashes of everything they built.
But here's who got him: ordinary citizens.
Neighbors who saw something wrong and refused to stay quiet.
The prosecutor said that this case was cracked by "vigilant citizens" who spoke up.
THANK GOD for people who pay attention.
He's charged with first-degree arson, held on a $1 million bond.
GOOD.
How does a man plead guilty to k*lling his own father... and end up free, with a lighter, next to 65,000 people's homes?
Somebody needs to answer for that.

My mom went in to get an abortion when she was pregnant with me.
She was lying on the table when the nurse asked her if she’d like to hear my heartbeat. My mom heard it and in a moment made the decision to keep me. If that nurse hadn’t asked my mom to hear my heartbeat, I wouldn’t be here today. She then decided to go through with adoption; until she gave birth to me and held me in her arms. It was in that moment all of her fears and insecurities melted away; and she decided to welcome motherhood. I know this is not every woman’s story. I also know how thankful I am that that nurse asked my mom to hear my heartbeat, and for my moms courage in the face of fear. Now I am pregnant with a baby boy and I sense how valuable his little life is within me. It’s so evident that God has knit this child -although unborn- from the very beginning. I hope this encourages just one woman. If you are debating whether or not to get an abortion, know that in your darkest hour God is with you and He will sustain you. He makes beautiful and wonderful things out of ashes, and even when we can’t see a way out He is paving a way for newness and redemption. I wouldn’t have a life if my mama didn’t lay down her own. That’s what love is, laying down your life for another.
