Pretending, as some did after an Islamist drove into a Pride crowd in Berlin last weekend, that the real threat to life in Europe today is the “far right”, is to spectacularly, wilfully, crassly, miss the point. My latest monologue.

❗️Here it is. Please RT 🙏 The major piece of news I have been waiting to share ⬇️ @NHSNotts UNDER CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION FOR CORPORATE MANSLAUGHTER. @thetimes ‘Detectives (@northumbriapol ) have informed the trust’s bosses and told them to preserve all records related to the June 2023 attacks. The trust said that it would co-operate with the inquiry. The move is likely to send ‘shockwaves’ through the NHS as it shifts the case against the trust from treatment failures to the question of whether it was directly responsible for the killings’. COMMENT: As a trust we hold you to account for the loss of our son, for Grace and for Ian. Yes - YOU. To all of the negligent, inept and failed clinicians, practitioners and managers. TOP DOWN. You WILL be held to account. You (alongside the Calocane family, the @nottspolice, @leicspolice and @CPSUK ). You have blood on your hands. You know it, I know it, and now the country will know it. Whatever it takes, you will be held to account. I will post in full tomorrow…. @Fhamiltontimes 🫶 thetimes.com/uk/crime/articl…

I used my platform as Leader of the Opposition in #Wolverhampton to send a message to the coward who brutally murdered Dame Ann Widdecombe: You have not silenced her - you have martyred her! And by taking her courageous voice, you have inspired and unleashed countless more #Anns across the country - me included. Reform UK 🇬🇧 will never let violence triumph over #courage. Never! facebook.com/share/v/1MM5mvz…

The Catholic Writers' Guild has arranged for a Mass to be celebrated for the repose of the soul of Ann Widdecombe, author of four novels and a former Mistress of the Keys in the 1990s, at 6pm on Thursday July 23 at the Jesuit Church of the Immaculate Conception in Mayfair, London

Off to a good start here kids
EXCL: Andy Burnham’s new head of political strategy is a trustee of a charity that campaigns to repatriate Isis brides and abolish citizenship stripping, The Spectator can reveal. Matthew McGregor joined the board of the charity Reprieve in April 2022. The organisation lobbies the UK government to abolish citizenship stripping, which it describes as ‘brutal and harmful’ and 'fundamentally racist'. The passion for abolishing citizenship stripping appears somewhat at odds with Burnham’s declaration that ‘all possible options’ should be on the table to deport the notorious grooming-gang ringleader Shabir Ahmed to Pakistan.

Agreed!! No one’s even been charged yet
Kemi Badenoch shamed herself today. Mocking Nigel Farage at PMQs less than a week after the brutal murder of his friend and Reform colleague at was a disgrace. That she treats the people of Clacton with such contempt speaks volumes about who she really is. Appalling judgement.

Crowd fund a couple of quid each .. boom will have enough by bed time!
We have approached Andrew Lilley, sculptor of the Sir David Amess statue, and he has offered to create a bust of Ann Widdecombe. We would aim to place it overlooking Dartmoor It would take a year and cost an estimated £30K. Please get in touch if you can help at this early stage

Jeremy Vine shares an off-air moment with Ann Widdecombe where he is explaining the famous 'Are You Ok' speech by Holly Willoughby I have to say, her eye rolls were just epic and i had a little chuckle to myself watching it this morning. This proves she was exactly the same away from the cameras as she was infront of them, straight talking, no-nonsense, and unwilling to play silly games Thank you @theJeremyVine for sharing this
