See Nigerians I have to tell you this country is not getting any better without literal divine intervention. We have thousands of educated (some are actually intelligent) youth defending mediocre governance with their every fiber. 😓 Only God can save Nigeria

Northern Nigeria has a radicalisation problem that needs to be addressed. From videos of children being indoctrinated with hate to the assassination of a man who preaches peaceful coexistence, this subject is too broad for a one-page newspaper column, but it cannot go unaddressed, so I addressed it.

So you people are saying if we put more money in the hands of a corrupt government, they'll get fed up of stealing and just start using the remaining funds to make the nation great?????

They way these people mention slaughtering is so scary. It's very light on their tongue. You'd think he's talking about mosquitoes.
Where are all those terrorist sympathizers? All of you should fall out.

For one full year we argued on this street that there is no Christian genocide in Northern Nigeria.
Within a single day, a young man released a video of paramilitary-style training where young Muslims were being groomed to chant “Mass Genocide” against Christians in the Southeast.
That same week, Sheikh Yahaya Ibrahim Masussuka, one of the few scholars who consistently preached against insurgency, was assassinated.
Months earlier, Ibrahim Danshagamu publicly begged the Kano government to protect him after members of the Izala movement allegedly threatened his life. That same week, he was killed in his bedroom.
Today, some elders of the Izala movement stand with a young man being trained to hate his fellow human beings. On this same street, members of the same movement celebrated the assassination of Sheikh Masussuka.
If the Federal Government does not immediately proscribe the Izala movement, arrest clerics promoting extremism in Northern Nigeria, and release Sheikh Abduljabbar Nasir Kabara to continue deradicalisation work, this country is heading for disaster.
We will one day wake up to a fully formed Al-Qaeda-style network in Nigeria. At that point, even Somalia will look safer than Northern Nigeria.

The entire length of Ozumba Mbadiwe is about 4km and according to initial govt statement, it’ll take 35days to resurface it
FYI 1004 Estate to international airport is 30km
In January this year, India set a world record and in 24 HOURS they paved (same thing we are doing on Ozumba) the distance from 1004 to international airport…(as a single lane equivalent though)
So basically, they did the equivalent of the length of Ozumba in less than 12hrs…But It’ll take us 35days
As a nation, one thing that’s really holding us back is poverty…but beyond cashflow related poverty, the combination of POVERTY OF AMBITION from leadership and the POVERTY OF EXPECTATION from followers is more detrimental to our development than poverty of resource
I still no believe wetin I hear and see that day 🤯
They had to give him palm oil to put on his fingers and mouth. Egg roll that was like half eaten ohh.. see steam coming out to egg afterwards.
Replying to @bin_gbada
A family, 12 kids, only 1 is in school. Steady hunger. Family income is 800k per month. The parents host lavish parties every weekend, only their fav child can attend.
But those other 11 children are the ones arguing that THEIR FAMILY is POOR, 800k cannot cater for 14 people 💔

Bruh, there are Nigerians fighting for their right to not have any subsidized sector in the country.
- zero subsidized housing scheme
- zero subsidized Electricity
- zero subsidized education
- zero subsidized healthcare
The idea is Nigeria is too poor to afford any form of subsidy whatsoever, excessive recurrent expenditure by the government doesn’t matter & our suffering is justified.
These are genuinely mad people!!

In the midst of all these our politicians are OFFICIALLY top earners globally

This is a chart here from 2013 of the basic salary of lawmakers as a ratio of GDP per person. Nigeria was the top (GDP has since fallen, salaries have increased).
This is just “basic salary.”
Not counting allowances and other benefits and pensions etc.
We will also act naive and not factor in all their budget padding, allocations and outright looting since we want to be politically correct in the face of blatant realities.

The reasoning behind questions on our tax rate and social nets are ever valid. If not for wickedness there is no reason for these justifications that Nigeria is a poor country!!
The gold deposits alone of 🇳🇬 is enough to run Ghana, add tourism, oil, tin, coal, lithium etc
Do 1st world Accountant Gen./ Pension Heads end up with cases of $$ millions misappropriation?
Does any other Country in the world including USA have Generals that are millionaires in dollars?
Did Norway have it's President as Minister of petroleum yet have increasing 🛢️ theft?
How much is 🇳🇬's max capacity for oil production & what it keeping us from reaching it?
Does 🇳🇬 refine crude for itself and earn from those products? (Our refineries running at cost of billions though)
Does Norway have other resources or arable land Nigeria has? #thisisNigeria

Everytime they bring up tax to gdp, the moment you ask them why the tax % is that low, their argument falls and they start waffling because they know the truth.
you cannot break the social contract and still demand more in taxes.
