I worked with Farage from 1999-2003 when he was first elected as an MEP, sharing an office with him in Strasbourg. I stayed at his home, travelled with him, dined and entertained when we were in Europe, and worked with him in the UK.
Outwardly charming, he is in fact a vindictive, aggressive bully, with a huge chip on his shoulder. He is intolerant of criticism, has no loyalty to anyone, and will shaft anyone who disagrees with him, gets in his way or poses a threat (usually by underhand means, via third parties).
I am not surprised, therefore, that you have come to your view. Most people who have been close to Farage feel the same way and would not trust him in the slightest. Many more will come to the same conclusion, and eventually the Farage bubble will burst. I hope it does so before he does even more damage.

I was labeled far-right, a fascist, a racist and antisemite by disgusting outlets a couple of days ago, and this morning I was scalded.
I expect the person responsible for this attack to feel the FULL FORCE OF THE LAW. I expect the @metpoliceuk , the Prime Minister @andyburnham and the Home Secretary @ShabanaMahmood to act immediately to investigate and secure justice for the attacker.
As Rupert Lowe has said from next week, we will arrange private security for our campaigning events in this by-election.

This morning's discourse seems to be revolving around a man who got coffee on his leg.
Was this a genuine assassination attempt? Were those pesky Stand up to Racism protestors really trying to scald his leg clean off.
From reporting, it appears there were no snipers involved or a grassy knoll in the surrounding areas, so that's a relief.
The far-right Restore fanboy was 'rushed' to hospital where thankfully his injuries were felt to be under the threshold for a full Chino-ectomy, and he is now 'recovering' well at home.
