A very professional performance against a stuffy, well organised side. Good to see the squad being utilised and some players getting a much needed rest.

One thing I took from the games in Vienna (Rapid and Austria) and Graz is the configuration of their stadiums. Large sections of safe standing behind the goals created a wall of noise. Likeminded fans all crammed into one area creating an atmosphere for 90 mins. Sounds brilliant
This is the kind of manager our club has been crying out for, for years. The way he speaks, the way he connects with the players, the passion and control in his delivery. The confidence he has in his players and the demands he places on them. I can’t see how he can fail

Delighted we’re still in the tie for my trip over there next week but felt we were poor overall. Too passive, particularly 1st half and after we scored the 2nd. 2 massive saves early on from Reus kept us in it. McPake excellent throughout. Will need to be bang at it next week

Agree with this. Ticked AC/DC, Metallica and Def Leppard off the bucket list in the last 12 months. I’m getting older, they’re getting older, they might never tour again. It’s also about the only time in my life I’ve had the disposable income to justify buying tickets 1/2
