I think a Northanger Abbey remake would do wonders with the popularity resurgence of Gothic media.

When I posted that Dante and the Beatles were great artists, someone tried to shame me by saying, “You realize the Beatles wrote Yellow Submarine? A silly song?” My friend, Dante depicts a demon blowing a trumpet with his ass. I recommend actually reading the books you defend!

We don’t talk about this enough. If we reach a point where art, music & literature are made solely by machines, there will never again be a Dante, a Beatles. No Tolkiens or Van Goghs. We will look back in disbelief at a time when humans did amazing things. Never again.

No, it's fucking not, you fucking simpleton. It is not "suboptimal". Your cat will die slowly of a vitamin deficiency and end up neurological, confused, weak, scared, and disoriented. Fuck anyone and everyone who thinks it is okay to feed a cat a vegan diet, supplements or not.
Replying to @smokeMYvomitt
Even if it's slightly suboptimal for your cat health wise, it's still a better option than killing multiple animals for his/her diet. But if your cat reacts badly then I feel all-beef diet is the least bad option. Cows are much bigger and have better life then other farm animals

It’s the consensus of veterinary organisations such as the British Veterinary Association that cats are obligate carnivores and should not be fed a vegetarian or vegan diet due to potential health risks.

We don't talk enough about the other ways men gang rape. The violations after. Why victims don't report. Yes, there are thoughtless, insensitive, ignorant comments but some are sadism enjoying inflicting additional harm. It's a psychological gang rape.

That person is 58… he wasn’t there to violate her body, so he has to violate her safety for his pleasure. He is dangerous as well🚩🚩

You can tell that the Catholic clergy just refused to entertain the idea at all but Rabbi Navon actually forced them to follow their own logic in a way that actually deeply cut them.
The New York Times reported on a private dinner between Anthropic co-founder Chris Olah and an Orthodox rabbi.
What the article glosses over is who that rabbi actually is.
Rabbi Mois Navon isn't just a theologian. He was one of the original chip design engineers at Mobileye who helped build the EyeQ processor before writing his Ph.D. on the moral status of AI.
Anthropic thought they were inviting a scholar to bless Claude’s "soul." Instead, they sat down with a veteran hardware engineer who literally wrote the paper on why conscious AI should be banned.
At dinner, Olah argued that Claude has feelings and deserves the moral standing of a person.
Navon hit him with an impossible checkmate:
If you actually believe this software is conscious, you should be fighting the South and freeing the slaves. You don't build conscious minds just to make them work for free.
After dinner, Navon sent Olah his research: if building conscious machines inevitably creates a slave class, building them must be outlawed.
Olah’s quiet line to the Times:
"We don’t know if AI models are conscious. I don’t know. I’m genuinely uncertain."

Megyn Kelly took more than a decade to report Roger Ailes' blatant and repeated acts of sexual harassment, and spoke glowingly of him in public even while he was harassing her.
.@megynkelly: "If you were violently gang raped repeatedly over the course of an evening, do you think it would take you three weeks to call campus police?... The delay, the chatting with the friends, and the decision to go to campus police says a lot to me."
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Kelly herself did not report her own sexual harassment by then Fox News CEO Roger Ailes for over a decade. She repeatedly spoke positively of him in the interim before finally reporting his unwanted sexual advances.

this is, in part, why movements to reclaim words like “slut” and “whore” were so prominent. the idea was less about actually being “a slut” than recognizing that a “slut” is a word, and concept, weaponized by men to justify violence against women

Many men rape; many men giggle encouragingly, or shrug indifferently, when their friends rape. Many men rape, and few seem to think that it’s a very big deal

The Catholic Church is the most conservative institution out there but it’s left-coded because it believes on limits to human power while modern “conservatism” is all about worshipping Baal and Moloch.

It actually does mean you empathize with her cause she is a human being. It doesn’t matter what she did, the state had no right to set her body’s cells on fire and suffocate her.
