When we present #icebreaker statistics, we strive to make any comparison "apples to apples".
For example, if China is claimed to have six icebreakers, then using the same criteria the United States would certainly have more than three.

I am once again compelled to tell you that climate change is not making the Canadian Arctic more accessible. The NWP shipping season is shorter. Ice road seasons are shorter. And building roads and railroads on melting permafrost is much more expensive.
