This scene on RotS is always so funny to me because Lucas for some reason just decides to start being a good director.
This scene alone is better than all 3 sequels

“Paris is burning”
Ramaswamy: Look at what's happening in Dearborn, Michigan. We're not going to let that come to our state of Ohio.

The generation of coal miners and to-be-veterans: famous for their lack of questionable sexual relations and totally normal treatment of women.
John Mulaney says Michael Jackson wasn’t the only person who grew up without a childhood, because nobody born before 1910 had one perhaps not unique John: “People always go, ‘Oh, poor Michael Jackson, he had no childhood.’ But you know who else didn’t? Anyone born before 1910.” “And they didn’t marry children with a giraffe as a witness.” Conan: “We now know why John was not asked to give the eulogy at Michael Jackson’s funeral.” John: “I had a nice version. I was perfectly willing to call an audible and switch it on the fly.”

We’re gonna have to get way meaner than this about Nazis, guys.
John Oliver: “It does feel that the Republican Party has been getting way too comfortable with some, at best, Nazi-adjacent sh*t.” “Nazis getting power doesn’t historically bode well for anyone, including, for what it’s worth, Nazis, who didn’t exactly have the best 1945.” variety.com/2026/tv/news/joh…

LMAO “want a better country? Partner up with Country Destroyer Inc. to make that happen”
To those who seek to create positive change in Cuba - now is the time. The disappointment of failed promises, corruption, and the privileged lives of only a few; seize this opportunity to create the change you desire through a discrete partnership with the CIA.

The death of art will be “love letters”. You guys aren’t interested in doing character work or saying something interesting about the world these characters are situated in. You just want these individualist celebrations and best hits fancams. Watch the Schnabel film. Fuck this
Kid Cudi will play Jean-Michel Basquiat in a self-written and directed film, out 2027. "This film will be a love letter to Jean, the 80s and NY city," Cudi wrote via IG.

There is no reformation of this. This ilk should have been expelled from the country during the reconstruction era.

The director actually spoke about this too.
Briefly touched on this in my review of Your Mother x3. Protectiveness over the Muslim image in media is understandable, but is misplaced when demanding strictly polished and “positive representations.” It becomes counterproductive in that it further limits Muslim narratives.

it's seriously so funny that every single ethnic/cultural group has the same talking points about film and tv representing them "badly" and instead of harmful stereotypes their real problem always just boils down to respectability politics and self-hate rotting their brains
