Strong agree. I'd go further and say don't bother unit testing React components at all. Unit test your state management, sure, but testing that your React component does what you coded it to is usually a waste of time. nitter.cf/probablyup/status/9523…

I don't recommend using Enzyme in your React projects. It makes switching React versions to test things extremely difficult since you have to set up an adapter, etc. If you're using Jest, just render to the DOM and use good 'ol querySelector. Also, avoid shallow rendering.
