The future is decentralized.
RFD4-Proteina now runs locally on a MacBook. Introducing BIOS’s Mac port: generate candidate protein binders and screen their predicted structures locally. Built with MLX and custom Metal kernels. • 2.2× faster generation than stock PyTorch-MPS at its default precision • 20 designs generated and screened → 10 ranked candidates in about 12 minutes on GLP-1R (M5 Pro) We believe more researchers should be able to run AI experiments on their own hardware. Test ideas locally, keep your research private, and scale to NVIDIA GPUs when you’re ready. After setup, the workflow runs offline. Watch it run below. ↓

Centralized, permissioned systems are fragile and zero sum. Decentralized, permissionless systems are antifragile and positive sum.

The 'Simple Sabotage Field Manual' was published by the OSS, the predecessor of the CIA, in 1944. One tip: route every decision through a committee, as large as possible. Slow decisions always cost something. When building took months, the delay was hidden. Now that building takes hours, the committee is most of the cycle.

Growth. The answer is growth. If the answer is not growth, you're asking the wrong question.

What if DeSci projects could pair themselves with biotech stocks and build a treasury in those assets through trading volume?

There's a fundamental difference between DeSci projects and other assets launching on-chain: DeSci projects exist to fund science and contribute to the collective knowledge of humankind. Capital flows and incentive structures need to reflect that.

Decentralized research via autonomous agentic systems coordinating & transacting on-chain. Objectives are set and trust is earned trough verifiable code.
6-12 months ago the large labs started buying bio data this spend is starting to ramp very aggressively. the labs are somewhat indiscriminate buyers with enormous budgets. the therapeutics market has long had buyers of data (large and small pharma) but they've historically been the exact opposite of huge-budget and indiscriminate this shift will distort the bio startup market in a bunch of ways. there will be a lot of short-termist behavior to try to get in front of this capital firehouse. but unlike the AI data labelers (mercor, et al) and the robotics labelers (mecka, et al), the bio startups serving up this data have a chance to emerge from this period with businesses that don't rely on selling data the best bio startups will use these sudden resources the labs are dumping on them to supercharge their novel assay and work towards independently powerful models and eventually directly produce therapies bio is the final frontier and its a very exciting time ahead for bio startups IMO

"Don't be evil" is a temporary commitment to moral standards that can be broken at any time. "Can't be evil" lives forever, encoded in smart contracts, on-chain. This is why crypto is winning.

It seems like there is some confusion around ignition sale allocations, how they are calculated and where funds went for the recent $NDT launch. User feedback is super important to us. Transparency & verifiablity are killer features of crypto (some would also call it a bug). Launches on @BioProtocol largely happen on-chain. The allocations of sale participants are being calculated based on their (optional) BioXP pledges. BioXP is our reward program for users that show long-term commitment to the DeSci ecosystem. For launches, it let's users 'skip the line'. The rules for that are roughly: The token allocation is basically pro-rata based on BioXP pledge with some caveats: - Allocation ceiling at max allocation. This is a parameter that's set per launch, together with the project team and communicated on the ignition sale page of each launch. BioXP pledges that would lead to an allocation greater than max is burned. - Floor at USDC commitment (infinite BioXP does not give you infinite tokens - token price is fixed per launch). Extra BioXP that would lead to more tokens than the user committed paying for in USDC is burnt. - If there is allocation left, distribute rest to people who have committed USDC but "too little" BioXP (e.g. 0) More info and links in the 🧵

Btw we're looking into calculating a DeSci score that is based on actual on-chain wallet activity. People who have skin in the game and believe in a decentralized future where science can flourish should be rewarded!

Again, feedback from users, investors, project and the community is always welcome. Hit me up if you have any questions or suggestions!

Smart contracts provide the substrate. Agentic systems with an encoded, verifiable constitution will earn the trust.
1/🌐 DAO 2.0: The Distributed Agentic Organization DAO 1.0 showed that coordination could live on‑chain: shared treasuries, automated rules, votes without a CEO. It was groundbreaking—but it had limits. It often drifted toward hidden hierarchies, brittle rules, and shallow participation. DAO 2.0 keeps the “O” (organization) but redefines the first two letters. “Decentralized” becomes Distributed; “Autonomous” becomes Agentic.

Crypto is a dark forest. That is clear to all serious participants. We have priorities that address the issues that were observed in this launch: - fix tokenomics - incentivize capital formation, don't incentivize speculation - smart contract logic > trust/promises (e.g. no fully liquid allocations to project/advisors) - give projects an ecosystem to work and form an aligned community - before any token launch - align scientific process with investor time-horizons Onwards.
Update on NeuroLabs Ignition Sale We want to clarify what happened during the launch and what we’re changing going forward. 1. Based on past launches, we intentionally didn’t communicate a specific finalization time to allow a buffer for the launch to finalize and for us to verify that everything was correct before distributing allocations. However, an outdated message from a previous deployment was still displayed on the finalization page, stating it would happen within 30 minutes. A disruption to our subgraph infrastructure delayed finalization leaving about an hour between the sale ending and TGE. We’re sorry for the wait. 2. We saw concerns about a wallet receiving tokens without participating in the Ignition Sale and selling shortly after. This wallet belonged to a NeuroLabs advisor and had been funded just before the launch. The advisor sold tokens representing 2.15% of the total supply. NeuroLabs AI's tokenomics allocated 14.83% of the total supply to advisors, fully liquid at launch as communicated on the Bio launchpad sale page. We always recommend vesting for team, investor and advisor allocations but accepted the team's request to make the advisor allocation fully liquid for this launch. Going forward, we’ll enforce vesting for all team, investor and advisor allocations to better protect supporters. 3. From our side, we will refund all BioXP spent on the sale to all participants including those who purchased instant BioXP. We believe DeSci should give projects the funding and community support to deliver on their roadmaps beyond the TGE. We're building towards this through early community building and funding on OpenLabs, with permissionless launches and milestone-based funding in development for the Bio launchpad. The goal is to let projects focus on their scientific work, with supporters committed to that longer-term progress. Thank you for your patience and continued trust as we build an ecosystem of tools and communities to move science forward.

excellent paper from Deepmind on the specifics of agent fleets for science, and forward-thinking plans of the societal impact. tokenizing science by @BioProtocol is mentioned as a great primitive cc: @paulkhls
Happy to share a new preprint: "Agentic Economies for Autonomous Scientific Discovery" arxiv.org/abs/2609.31562 that encapsulates our thoughts on the AI revolution in science, and how applying an economic lens enables us to better recognize the key bottlenecks and how to address them.
