Stephen Miller reached out to him directly and told him some people inside the departments are blocking the release. Burchett said Miller told him, “there's some people that are blocking this in these departments, and I feel like they're some very bad people for whatever reason.” He added, “You're talking about a deep state, the swamp or whatever, the sewer, as I call it, that's deep state, that they block this stuff because they're sitting on a lot more files that they should be releasing.” This is one of the most direct statements yet from someone who has spoken with a senior White House official about why the files are still held back.
