Found this old photo and it all came flooding back. Me and my fellow Scouser Clive Bernstein two proper scallys, bought a Yamaha Virago in New York back in the early 90s and rode it all the way down to Mexico. None of us knew what was actually happening at the time. It was a crazy, crazy adventure and we were going for it. We blagged our way into a job with Circus Vargas the biggest travelling circus in the States, flogging Pepsi Cola & cotton candy. Tiger sharks jaw around the headlight, fishing rods off the back, CB radio attatched to the wing mirror and tunes piped into our helmets. Wide-eyed hedonistic dreamers who didn't give a shit. Swamp fishing in Louisiana, peyote visions on an Apache reservation with a warrior's great grandson, and Bible Belt preachers trying to save our souls while we chased real trouble. Got nicked in New Orleans for a bit of weed, three days inside, but we talked our way out of most scrapes. This is the only picture I've got from that mad trip. WRN 760R belongs to a Honda CB 550/4 currently registered in Britain, but here it is on a Yamaha Virago somewhere in the Appalachians.
