A promise is a promise. 💜 Here’s a little BTS of how our very first Doran’s token came to life. 500+ layers and an especially questionable amount of sleep trying to get these ready for #RQLA 🙏🏻 This token started from a completely blank canvas and was built up by hand, layer by layer, by a human. AI was used only towards the end of the process to help enhance and polish some of the final details. The artwork itself was not AI-generated. You can see the video for the very unpolished, very messy, very real process behind it. 😂 We also want to acknowledge the conversation around AI and creative work. We understand why people feel strongly about it, especially with how quickly the creative landscape is changing and the impact it has had on artists and their livelihoods. That was never what we wanted this token to represent. At the end of the day, we’re just a card shop run by a bunch of people who really love this game. We made these tokens because we wanted our friends and the Riftbound community to have a little piece of Doran’s to carry with them, a thank-you for all the love this community has given us. And just to make this clear: we will never monetize this token. It was made as a gift, and that’s what it will remain. 💜 To everyone who showed the tokens love, shared them, collected one, or simply said something nice, THANK YOU🔥 And to everyone who gave us criticism and feedback… Thank you too. We listen and we don’t judge.🫡 After all, we’re still a young TCG store figuring things out as we go. For most of us, it is also our first time owning a business.
