Tested NODECODE against Codex CLI. Same model, same prompt, identical cloud VMs: build a playable 3D pelican kart racer, with up to 60 minutes to keep improving it. GPT-6.1 Terra: • Codex: 9:56, 3.29M input / 31.6K output tokens • NODECODE: 3:56, 226K / 13.0K GPT-6 Luna: • Codex: 20:29, 7.62M / 74.0K • NODECODE: 8:24, 1.07M / 23.8K All 4 games load, drive and pass my check. NODECODE used 7–14x fewer input tokens and finished 2.5x faster, but it also stopped earlier and its games are plainer. One run each.
Introducing NODECODE: an open-source agent that rewrites itself as it works. In LISP; the AI-native language. McCarthy imagined a program you’d improve “by making statements to it.” Now you can, it’s yours and it will evolve over time. MIT. Works in Discord, TG, etc. Built for cyber.

The end of software secrecy is almost upon us. The death of closed source, and the final triumph of open source. I should have realized this a few months ago when I successfully decompiled the game of Firefighter from an ancient DOS shareware binary. My robot friend was able to tell it had been written in Borland Pascal from looking at the data layout; it gave me back very readable Pascal code with sensibly chosen function and variable names. I transpiled it to Rust and now ship it as part of my heritage games collection. The thing is, I thought of this as a fun stunt but didn't have any confidence that the technique would scale up to large, real programs. I have since learned that people are now doing this sort of thing with entire AAA games, which are among the most complex software artifacts ever to be shipped as a binary. If they can be decompiled, anything can be. This has implications. Massive implications. We need to think about what the world is like when, in general, there is no longer a secrecy moat around almost any software at all. 1/2

Previously, I started a new Play Store account because I wanted to make video games for Android. But I never got time to finish my game. As a result, my personal play store account was closed by @Google because of inactivity. Now, I developed a new app, let's publish it on play store. But I cannot restore my old account. The message now says "To start publishing apps on Google Play, create a new account." but I haven't found any method to create a new play console account yet either. Okay no problem, I don't need a play store account just to publish apps, I could maybe ship an APK via @fdroidorg . But wait, what's this? To distribute my APK in the future, I must sign up for Android Developer Verification Program? Okay it should be just a sign up then. No big deal. But wait, this Android Developer Verification Program costs 25$? I just wanna publish my little app for free. I am not even making money out of it. Why should I be paying this tax to Google? Okay 25$ isn't a big amount, I can pay. But what's this, I need to tell them who I am as well? WTF is this shit! Okay how about I will just share a development build with my friends. Tf? Even for the users below 20, I must register with the techno overlord? Sure there is no 25$ for 20 or less, but I still need to have a verified payments profile and must tell them my opinion about publishing on android? Tell me @Google, can I write "Fuck you" there? or should I be a lickaboot loyal little rule-follower and write a love letter there?

結局は「ネットに触れさせたうえでリスク管理・リテラシーを覚えさせる」のが大事よね。 あとゲーム開発の場から言わせてもらうと、「SNSの定義」が厳密にされてないから下手な規制はやめてほしい。 >オンライン年齢認証とSNS年齢制限の技術的・法的・社会的限界(八田真行) news.yahoo.co.jp/expert/arti…
