Jensen closed his GTC Berlin 2026 keynote with this Hermes Agent demo as the finale. He introduced it by saying the way to build an agent is to ask an agent to build it for you, so he installed and set up a customized Hermes in one prompt. Then he used Hermes, running on @nvidia RTX Spark, to create a simulated training environment for the @huggingface Microduck. Hermes planned an obstacle course with Nemotron and had GPT-6 Astra build it using FreeCAD, Omniverse libraries, Blender, Newton, and Isaac Lab. Hermes trained thousands of simulated ducks on that course until the validated policy was ready to run on the real robot in the physical world. At Nous, we believe open source is a practical tool as much as a philosophical ideal. It gives users the ability to build powerful, complex workflows chaining numerous local+cloud models, devices, and tools themselves instead of waiting for a company to enable them.

network engineer interviews be like “you need to have expert level knowledge & experience working with BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, 4 major vendors, & route redistribution in production” …& then the job is just answering the same easy customer ticket over & over forever

such a shame that a Pi has barrier to entry now, it’s what taught me Linux
Due to the continuing rise in the cost of memory, we’ve had to raise the prices of our 2GB Raspberry Pi 4 and Raspberry Pi 5 products. Eben explains the cost increase – along with ways to ensure you’re not paying for more memory and processing power than you need – in today’s blog post. raspberrypi.com/news/price-i…

The FBI is aware of a cyber-criminal enterprise group claiming a compromise of the FBIJobs.gov portal and alleged impact to FBI employee personally identifiable information (PII). While the point of breach is still undetermined—whether a third-party or the FBI’s enterprise—we are actively and aggressively investigating this matter and working closely with those third-party providers that support FBIJobs.gov to mitigate any and all risk.

Microsoft is single-handedly bringing gaming to the Linux Desktop
Microsoft has filed a patent for ads that could interrupt games after boss fights, cutscenes, quests and multiplayer rounds Players would receive credits granting temporary game access, while watching an ad would award another credit to let them resume

New blog post: We had a million lines of Python to clean up. On September 2nd @Teknium asked Hermes Agent to do it. 1,393 subagents and nineteen hours later, the codebase was 34.4% smaller, saving us nearly $2m in engineering hours. nousresearch.com/refactoring…

We Must Pace the Frontier: I’ve written a new essay on why the AI industry should slow down, with a three-part plan for doing so. Anthropic is unilaterally committing to the first of these steps. We’ll provide third-party evaluators with permanent, employee-level access to our systems, so that they can verify adherence to our safety measures, report on incidents, and assess models’ alignment during training. You can read the full post here: darioamodei.com/post/we-must…

i agree with this statement but to be fair, Chuck isn’t teaching that class it’s actually Jeremy Cioara (if we’re referring to his most recent course)
I think if you’re going to teach/sell a course for a certification that you should hold an active certification for it.

It is crazy how a technology that has the potential to cure cancer, alzheimer's, and who knows what else is so universally hated outside of rich tech. How did Sama and Dario so thoroughly fumble this? How did they not see telling everybody they're going to lose their jobs every few months and now we might (👉👈) accidentally kill everyone isn't a winning strategy?

We have to build AI that murders us, because if we don’t, China will build it first, and I don’t want to get murdered by a computer that speaks Chinese. That would be ridiculous.
