Here's how to save yourself from 99% of mental problems:
Condition yourself to take nothing personally.
How do you rest when your mind is screaming at you to keep going?
For me, rest often felt like a four-letter word.
I used to think rest was something you earned.
Got 4 hours of deep work done?
Good.
Now, you can watch an episode of The Office.
But if I didn’t finish my to-do list?
No Netflix, no snacks, no water.
The voice keeps screaming at me:
“Keep working. You’re lazy. You’ll fall behind.”
The price?
Burnout.
If you think burnout only happens if you work for 69 hours straight, you're wrong.
It'll hit you the same after 2 hours of work if you don't listen to your body.
Resting is now a non-negotiable for me.
No, I still can't sleep 8-9 hours a day. (guilty)
My definition of rest is walking in silence, reading a book, or 20-minute power naps if I didn't get enough sleep.
So, let me say this louder for the people in the back:
Rest. Reset. Refocus.
Your body deserves it.
Protect your mindset from dumb advice:
• Reading books is a waste of time
• 5 hours of sleep is enough
• Rest is for the weak
• Coffee sucks
Not everyone deserves your attention.
The only people waking up at 5 am:
• Your grandma
• Newborns (jk they don't sleep)
• Loners who love to work in silence
Be a loner.
Productivity 10x's when the whole world shuts tf up.
My top 3 content ideation methods:
1/ Go for a walk
2/ Fold laundry against my will
3/ Take an unnecessarily long shower
The best ideas hit when you’re not forcing them.
Bonus: You get stuff done while your brain works in the background.
7 rules for staying creative without losing your mind:
1. Commit first, panic later.
2. Read as much as you can.
3. Create daily, even if it’s garbage.
4. Journal, because your brain forgets.
5. Obsess over the process, not the result.
6. Hang with people who make you want to win.
7. Screw-ups? Content. Wins? Content. It’s all content.
If you're a man in your 20’s, take control of your:
• Mind
• Mood
• Mouth
• Money
Your 30’s will thank you for this.
If Ryan Holiday can:
• Raise a family
• Run a business
• Write bestselling books
And still find time to journal daily...
Then I’m sure you can spend 5 minutes a day reflecting on your dreams.
𝕏 is the best place to:
• Network
• Develop skills
• Grow a following
• Attain financial freedom
Anything else is a waste of time and energy.
Change your direction if you have to.
Mood:
Get married to the love of my life. Have two children. Move to the countryside. Grow crops and raise cattle.
Dream life right there people.
