What will drug discovery look like when intelligence is abundant?
Our team at @generate_biomed began with this question, and we’re excited to share some results!
We took on in vivo CAR-T and designed a scaffold 70% smaller than ones in the clinic, with 3x the potency 🧵
Making medicines is really hard. Excited to share some early work from the team @generate_biomed with our partners @AnthropicAI on how we can leverage agentic tools to rapidly advance science. While it is still early days, the signals are very promising and patients are waiting.
Over the past few months, Anthropic scientists have engaged in deep research partnerships with six organizations developing new medicines. We've also begun drug discovery efforts of our own.
In doing so, we’ve learned much more about how Claude can support the many stages of drug development.
In this blog post, we share some early results from these efforts, and describe how this work fits in with our wider ambitions in the life sciences.

Proud of the work our team @generate_biomed is doing to help patients with COPD.
GB-0895, our anti-TSLP monoclonal antibody, has entered a Phase 1 clinical trial for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)—its second indication following asthma. Designed using generative optimization, GB-0895 was built for high potency, extended half-life, and targeted function.
This is the fourth clinical trial for a molecule designed on our platform and reflects how generative optimization can produce antibodies with defined therapeutic properties that advance efficiently into clinical development.

Always great to catch up with @ChristineHeenan and share how our team @generate_biomed is leveraging the best of human and machine intelligence to learn from nature to make breakthrough medicines. We are in the early days of programmable biology and the future is bright.
From the #FlagshipStudio: @generate_biomed CEO @mike_nally explains how Generate is a case example of the power of polyintelligence as it brings together human, machine, and nature’s intelligence to pioneer generative AI technologies in biology. Generative technologies have the potential to materially improve the standard of care for patients in a number of domains. GB-0895 is a great example of how our team at @generate_biomed is focused on getting better medicines to patients, faster.

A vaccine has essentially eliminated a dreadful form of cancer.
Extraordinary.
Scotland has detected no cases of cervical cancer in women born between 1988-1996 who were fully vaccinated against HPV between the ages of 12 and 13.

Unfortunately, cancer is personal for most of us. We are delighted to be partnering with one the preeminent cancer centers in MD Anderson Cancer Center to bring the power of generative AI to the fight against this disease.
Through our new collaboration with @MDAndersonNews, we aim to harness the power of The Generate Platform to create optimized, potentially best-in-class oncology therapeutics that can rapidly advance into proof-of-concept trials. Learn more: generatebiomedicines.com/new…
Really enjoyed sitting down with @ChristineHeenan from @FlagshipPioneer to discuss how @generate_biomed is striving to bring better medicines to patients faster, including the critical role that culture plays in our success.

Very exciting future for #proteindesign and #AI! Congratulations to @generate_biomed on making the future possible. #Proteins are where life work gets done, and now we can make new ones.
Today we introduced Chroma, a generative model that creates new proteins & protein complexes given geometric & functional constraints. It learns to transform unstructured, random 3D shapes into #protein molecules, which can have tens of thousands of atoms. ow.ly/Txn750LShFp
Our co-founder @gibsmk shares how we are increasingly making biology engineerable @generate_biomed. We believe this will have a transformative impact on the patients we serve. Thanks Lydia The for highlighting our work.
#DYK there is a 90% failure rate in drug development? Our Co-Founder and CIO, @gibsmk, shares how with #AI we are no longer predicting biology, but rather generating new biology which will help us develop faster, better, and more affordable therapeutics: mck.co/3tJeW9S
I am excited to join @DianaBrainard, @AlexHoos, @SheilaMikhail, @PascalTouchon and @AnnalisaDAndrea this Thursday for an exciting discussion on advancing platform technologies @longwoodleaders.
