Delhi: Co-convenor, Cockroach Janta Party, Saurav Das says, "The second thing that is happening-look at Bengal. There is a very significant and serious observation regarding Bengal in these files. In Bengal, 60 lakh people were identified as having logical discrepancies. This means that there was some issue with their details, such as their names not matching or it not being clear whether their parents were included in the previous SIR. Out of those 60 lakh people, 33 lakh were subsequently added. But when those 33 lakh voters were added following the Supreme Court’s order, the Election Commission of India challenged the addition in court in a matter involving lakhs of voters. Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi asked in the files: These appeals are being filed against voters in such large numbers-who authorised them? It is being done in the name of the Election Commission of India, but who is authorising it? You need to understand that the Election Commission is not the sole responsibility of one person. There are three Election Commissioners, and the Commission functions either by consensus or by majority vote. The two other Election Commissioners clearly called this illegal, but even then, the Election Commission of India, under the direction of Gyanesh Kumar-and whoever is directing or controlling him-has continued carrying out these illegal actions for months.
