also: the repetition you find in jp does NOT translate into eng. repetition in english reads so badly if it isn't an obvious deliberate artistic move by the author, but it's very common in jp to the point of not being much of a literary concept at all

A lot of anti-loc people don't want to hear this, but stock phrases like onegai-shimasu and yoroshiku are so ubiquitous in Japanese that any translation HAS to go past the words to the specific intent behind them in that specific moment. They simply must vary.
i hate this feature so much it's unreal but can you imagine if any of this was like actual news someone was actually writing headlines for
it's the "of soleum's free will" part that most fanworks neglect and it's soooo annoying. soleum is painfully mentally dependent on braun, not terrified and just trying to placate him. braun wants soleum choosing him to be of his own free will, not because he's being forced to
braun is THE one single issue that soleum refuses to budge on he can be talked into other options for everything EXCEPT braun. similarly braun has pushed down his nature as a powerful nonhuman entity so far that while he dislikes it when soleum takes it for granted he still stays
