📢 #MavisbankHouse to be saved! Thanks to a major grant of £5.3m from the #NationalHeritageMemorialFund and following 10 years of effort by Landmark, we are overjoyed to announce that we can now rescue one of Britain's most important buildings at risk: bit.ly/4ahKqqy

Dan Poulter was an ex junior dr of mine and literally brought in every policy that has destroyed the NHS
He is joining the Labour Party so that post election he can be a medical advisor to the next Labour government.
It worries me what advice he will give
@Keir_Starmer if you want a passionately pro nhs doctor I'd be happy to advise.
I've also spent my career trying to help the nhs not destroy it.
It’s fantastic to welcome Dr Dan Poulter MP to today’s changed Labour Party.
It’s time to end the Conservative chaos, turn the page, and get Britain’s future back. I’m really pleased that Dan has decided to join us on this journey.
ALT A statement graphic reading: It’s fantastic to welcome Dr Dan Poulter MP to today’s changed Labour Party. My party is back in the service of working people. Our mission is to grow the economy and rebuild our public services. I’m delighted that Dan will be helping us get the NHS back on its feet. Across the country more and more people are switching to Labour because they know only this changed Labour Party can deliver the change Britain needs. It’s time to end the Conservative chaos, turn the page, and get Britain’s future back. I’m delighted that Dan has decided to join us on this journey. Keir Starmer, Leader of the Labour Party

Kitchen sponges like these are made of plastic. They have a short lifespan, & as they degrade they release microplastics that end up in the sea. They can't be recycled, so remain in landfill for 100s of years. Eco-friendly alternatives are available – see:

A little reminder for those with amnesia who blame nurses instead of the Tories for putting patients at risk

PLEASE sign if you care about trees. It costs nothing and takes seconds👇 – at East, England
In less than a week, on the 21st March @CambsCC will vote on whether to DESTROY its largest traditional orchard. A HABITAT OF PRINCIPAL IMPORTANCE, a 1000 trees, for a £200m tarmac road for buses. A loss @greatercambs claim can be “lessened to non-significant” in 30 years by “mitigation”, it cannot. Media, shine a light on those who have a vote so that we,
and the generations behind us, who will have to pay for their decision, can bear witness 🌳🚌❌🐝

Report being discussed by @Edinburgh_CC today fails to mention:
* @Edxmas ignored Council’s own basic guidelines on tree protection
* Planning Officers only visited PSG after a formal complaint was made
Council is refusing to protect our most valuable trees. @EdinReporter – at Edinburgh, Scotland
The importance of protecting of trees is mentioned under ‘lessons learned’, although it is not clear what lessons were learned or where this information might be available from.

Even a small reduction in mowing - including public spaces like parks, road islands and roadverges - can boost wildlife & wildflowers, help pollinating insects, and save money. An easy way to give nature a chance. RT if you're on board for helping the bees and butterflies 🐝

28% rise & real terms rise of over £4k
same period nurses pay down 8% against inflation with real terms pay cut of £3k
RT if you think MPs telling nurses they don’t deserve a rise are taking the piss

Please retweet the quoted tweet, to help save this mighty, centuries old Oak Tree in Somerset. @NationalHways plan to cut out down to build a slip road... 🙄
This trees stood watch over this land for 600 years @HighwaysEnglan2 have deliberately misrepresented its age and size in order to avoid it's legal obligations. Now it's condemned
@ChrisGPackham give this incredible tree a shout out please

The Ronja K salmon farming vessel is still transmitting erroneously July 3rd date. Incompetence - or obfuscation?
Here's a pic from yesterday showing the current location of the same boat, the Ronja K on 21st July using the vessel finding app and as recorded by the vessel's AIS. Please note @sustain321 @morrison_derek1 @isleseafoods the date stamp is still showing 3rd July........

Lots of people asking us about #bumblebees at the moment - why they’re seeing them on the ground - so here’s a quick thread to explain what they’re up to. Please share as every #queen that survives means a new colony that gets to exist & produce new queen #bees for next year! 1/7

Pathetic. The UK is not deeply dependant on Russian oil and gas. We can revert to LNG and other sources. This shoudl be done not 'over time' but immediately. Italy and Germany face an extreme challenge, but Britain can act more easily, and should. At once.
