🚨 PSA for anyone running a Linux server, node, or relay
CVE-2026-98432 is a critical Linux kernel bug (CVSS 9.8). Someone on the internet can send crafted TCP packets and take over your machine. No login needed.
Ubuntu and Red Hat haven't shipped a fixed kernel yet. Debian, SUSE, Oracle and Amazon have.
What to do today:
1. Check your kernel: uname -r
Fixed versions: 6.1.190+, 6.6.159+, 6.12.113+, 6.18.56+, 7.2.10+ or 7.3+. Below that, you're exposed.
2. If your distro has a fix, update and reboot.
3. If not, block the attack. It needs TCP packets with "IP options," which normal traffic never uses. One nftables rule drops them. Log what gets dropped so you can see if someone's probing you.
4. Turn off MPTCP unless you need it:
sysctl -w net.mptcp.enabled=0
Programs built with Go 1.24+ use MPTCP automatically, and that's how the known exploit gets in.
5. Make it survive a reboot, and check it still works after one.
If you run a Bitcoin node, a Lightning node or a Nostr relay, your machine is on the internet by design. Do this today.
Self-hosting is freedom. Patching is part of the job. 🛡️

Some thoughts on the initial approach of William Herkelneck, CEO at Algorand.
I really appreciate that Billy "The Bobs" Herkelberg came in with a laser focus on ROI and how Algorand could run more efficiently. By simply asking "what would you say you do here?" Wilhelm was able to greatly slim down overhead costs, increasing runway.
That being said, if we are talking ROI, it is quite literally free to tweet and engage with the community. A simple genuine introduction tweet and maybe some communications positively framing all the layoffs and new direction would have gone a long way. It would be a misstep to turn away the existing builders and community. Hate it or love it, politics aside, X is the primary source of info for the blockchain industry. Many deals come about via these networks.
I understand Wilheim has his vision for Algorand as a business, but even pretending to care and support the community would also help him push his agenda and boost morale for the token.
All in all, still bullish on Algorand, let's all work together 🤝

Aero vs. Uniswap – almost 24 hours into my little LP experiment!
Two LP NFTs on Base. Same WETH/USDC pair, around $10 each, nearly identical ±5% price ranges.
And things got pretty wild!🔥
At one point, fee APRs were flirting with 600%! Of course, that's just a short period annualized, not actual yearly earnings.
Here's the real picture from Revert Finance:
🦄 Uniswap v3: 239% fee APR
🛫 Aero: 323% fee APR
Pure trading fees. No AERO emissions or extra incentives.
Honestly, both positions are behaving pretty similarly!
Aero has a slight edge so far, but one day tells us very little. Both positions are still slightly underwater despite earning fees.
And that's the fun of LPing. You're running a little trading business, managing inventory, collecting fees and watching the market move through your range.
I'd love to repeat this with wider ranges, maybe ±10-15+%, and track everything for weeks or even months.
That's when the real differences might start showing up.
For now, just enjoying the experiment and sharing the numbers as they come in.

👀 Two new LP NFTs just landed on Base!

Same pair: WETH/USDC.
Almost identical price ranges: ±5%.
Around $10 deposited into each pool.
I usually prefer wider LP ranges, but this time I deliberately went narrower.
Not to chase crazy APRs, but to make the comparison more interesting!

It's a hands-on experiment to compare two LP NFTs running side by side – one on Aero, the other on Uniswap.
I want to watch them in real time, see how each position behaves, how trading fees accumulate, and how their performance differs under similar market conditions.
